IT’S HERE! TMS Midget Championship RACE WEEK March 20-21! Great Forecast!

Ft. Worth TX, by DarinShort.com (3/16/26). This weekend the Lil’ Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) Dirt Track will light up for the first time ever to host the POWRi National Series and West Region Midget League with the running of the Texas Motor Speedway Midget Nationals, held Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st. Current weather forecasts show dry and warm weather conditions throughout the event weekend.

Advance online ticket sales are available by clicking https://www.powri.com/schedule/?i=31369 and there you can select which night(s) you would like to purchase advance tickets, or pit passes for. Just scroll down the schedule list and click on the ‘tickets’ icon for the TMS event. You can also choose to purchase your event tickets upon arrival at the speedway on race night.

In what will certainly become another marquee event on both the track and series schedules, the TMS Midget Championship will be two complete point events, with the opening nights winner collecting $3,000, while the finale night top dog will take home a cool $5,000. That in itself is attracting the top midgeteers in the business from coast to coast.

Since last week’s update, a pair of Indiana drivers (Rylan Gray and Tony Helton), and a Kansas driver (Hank Soares) have joined the list of Midget drivers that plan to compete in this event.

Drivers can get registered by emailing Talin at [email protected]

The stars and cars of the POWRi National and POWRi West will converge upon TMS plus several national invaders, as there are very few other midget and non-winged events scheduled nationally this particular weekend. Paired with the fact that very few of these drivers have yet to compete on the recently upgraded and converted Lil’ TMS dirt track, it will make for even more excitement.

Including the new entries, now 14 states are currently represented in the list of expected drivers, including Jacob Denney, Gavin Miller, Cannon McIntosh, Kameron Key, Colton Robinson, Karter Sarff, Chase McDermand, Brandon Carr, Zach Daum, Alex Karpowicz, Trey Marcham, Andrew Felker, Alex Sewell, Kris Carroll, Pierce Urbanosky, Ray Brewer, Branigan Roark, Zane Lawrence, Shaun Shapel, Drew Sherman, Mack Leopard, Caiden Warren, Brecken Reese, Cooper Miller, Kale Drake, Brylee Miller, Kyle Jones, Tyler Edwards, Thomas Meseraull, Brody Wake, Drake Edwards and Ryan Padgett. A large group of raucous and hungry invaders will join the fray. More driver entries are expected when race night kicks off.

Plus, the combined Factory Fourteen National Series and Gulf South Region Open Wheel 600's will be competing in two complete, nightly point events, which include the Non-Wing Micro, A-Class Micro, Restricted Micro and Jr. Sprint divisions.

The current weather forecast shows a dry period this week and temps around 90°, which will make for stellar racing and viewing.

Friday nights action kicks off with hot laps at 6:30pm, with racing to follow immediately. Saturday’s finale starts with hot laps at 6:00pm. There is also a practice night scheduled for Thursday, March 19th.

Nightly Adult General Admission is $25, while Kid’s General Admission (ages 12 & Under) are $10/night. Pit passes for all ages are $45 nightly (March 19th practice $30).

A special event info hub has been built to keep fans and teams informed of the latest event information. Looking beyond the March 20-21 TMS Midget Championship, fans and teams can click www.darinshort.com/tms.html the entire lineup of events at both the 4/10-mile TMS Dirt Track and the 1/5-mile Lil’ TMS Dirt Track.

Don’t miss the first ever visit of the POWRi National & West Region Midgets at the Lil’ Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track, along with the Factory Fourteen National Series and Gulf South Region Open Wheel 600's, for what is sure to be two wild nights of dirt track racing action THIS Friday, March 20th & Saturday, March 21st!
