My eyes may have crossed up a couple times but i think i counted 66 dates.

Monday - Thursday events total i believe are 24.

However 5 Thursdays are part of three day shows so they technically are not mid-week shows they are:

  1. 3/12-14 Las Vegas
  2. 8/27-29 Silver Dollar
  3. 9/3-5 Skagit
  4. 9/10-12 Tusky Port Royal
  5. 9/17-19 Lucas Oil
  6. So this would mean  19 of 66 show or 29% are Midweek.

Also Wednesday & Thursday July 15 & 16th are at Eldora piggy backing with the Kings Royal removing these two as MidWeek shows and that would be 17 of 66 or 26% of shows are Midweek.

If you use the 24 that is 36% of the total schedule.

Not sure if this is more midweek shows or less than in each of the first 2 seasons.

Bill,
Nice work putting both schedules together for us fans to see. Question- you show the Saturday night of the Knoxville Nationals, but not the 3 days before? Is that a typo, or is it because only Saturday night is a WoO (sort of) points race?

I have it listed that way because Saturday night is the only night that gets recorded as an official World of Outlaws win, not because it's a points race.

Thanks. That's along the lines of what I was thinking.

I have to razz you a bit. The Nationals are 9 months away and you're already calling it as "an official World of Outlaws win". wink

look at that, dacotah speedway got on the schedule! I'm genuinely excited to see this as I was a board member there and do their tv work. I hope we can get 27-30 cars as we don't have a lot of 410 sprint cars in western north dakota but I'm excited to see how NOSA can fare against these guys!

Dacotah is an excellent facility. I really enjoyed it there. And with it being on June 6, it should be just before it gets really hot there.

Here's a couple pics I took (a few hours before the race) for people to get a bit of a feel for the joint:

Only one trip to the west coast, just as the Outlaws did in 2025.  Apparently there is not enough support there to justify the long trip.

I understand the disappointment of some fans. HL experiamented with trying to take sprint cars to some out of the way places but they were not supported by enough fan to make it pay. Despite what some think it still takes fans at the track to pay a good purse.

What track in the Carolinas outside of Charlotte would be suitable for Sprint Cars? I only ask because to me, that is Late Model Country. I for one wish the WoO would get back to Charlotte before November. I always thought May/June was better when they did it.

HL  dropping their schedule during World Finals week doesn't seem very peaceful, loving or kind. It seems kind of cold and calculated, and a form of aggression.

What happened to all that peaceful co-existment and raising the sprint car tide with all that beautiful love juice? Huh?

I've built a lot of track and series schedules over the years and it's always been a function of being able to get tracks nailed down to confirm their dates...and then I'd post it immediately, if not sooner, so others can book their schedules around what they already know.

This impacts event sponsors, fans, employees and teams booking vacation dates at work; etc.

And I can't speak for HL in this case, but if it was my guess, they just had 95% of their schedule booked and published it now while they're wrapping up with negotiations for tracks that aren't ready to commit to anything just quite yet.

The following is an example, and not dogging this particular track, but Waco would never even talk about the next season until they were done with the one they were in - and this year they raced all the way through November 1. So it would be at least two weeks from then before they'd be ready to start booking dates.

What's best for sprint car racing is to try and show up your rival during one of its biggest weeks of the year. That's what is going to elevate the sport to the next level.

I dont see how timing of a schedule drop means anything one way or the other.

Outside of the tracks in the Southeast where the Outlaws have already built an extremely amazing base (Voluisa, Charlotte), there are still opportunities like Tennessee/Alabama (Dixie Speedway, Phenix City, Bulls Gap).

I wont lie.  The USCS pulled in more fans than the High Limit because Pete Walton had a poster at every gas station and bar within 30 miles of every track two weeks before each race.

A poster of Terry Gray above a urinal at a bar 10 miles from the track is more important than a facebook post geared toward 100,000 members across the world.
