Beyond internet chatter of "tastes great / less filling" and "so's your mother!", I think both groups have done a good job starting the season. The races were entertaining- isnt that what we want?
People talked about how Brad Sweet would win everything at H-L. That hasn't happened. People talked about the WoO having watered-down racing. That didn't happen.
So far, it looks like the guys to watch are:
Courtney
Gravel
Sweet
Haudenschild
Allen
Schatz
Marks
Larson
Scelzi
Also:
Abreau
Kofoid
McFadden
Schuchart
Macedo
And don't forget:
Cory Eliason

The only 2 to get a top ten in every race they have ran this year are ........ Schatz and Scelzi (7 for 7) Eliason is equal at 2 top 10s in his 9 races and equal to Schatz with Donny only outrunning him 5 of 5 times they raced together this year.

One change im not excited about is the woo web site. Last year it was up to date a few hours after a race qith results highlights and stories. Now its several days. I suspect the person who did this last hear has taken on more roles or left the organization. Roses to whoe er did it last year.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I'm thinking the best way to see race recaps is on YouTube. I fell asleep on Saturday night waiting for the Feature and woke up when the 18 got wadded up. The recap came in handy.

On the subject of WoO and HL races ran so far. March tends to be a slow month on streaming and April is a fight with spring rains. There isn't much of a sample size this time of the year. I predict that by this summer people will get tired of comparing the two series and start enjoying their summer. This is speculation season on steroids. Which is best WoO or HL, watching free agency and the draft unfold is more drama and daily opinions than Sprint Car racing. I'll be happy when we get past all that and get on with the season.

Tonight another 20,000 to win show and the outlaws aren't allowed to run it. I like that the HL guys when they want go and take some of the outlaws money. Until later in the year the outlaws can't return the favor.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

The World of Outlaws will be at the iconic beautifully manicured home of the Nationals this weekend for 2 action packed nights of racing. The 'Augusta' of sprint car racing if you will. Who wants to go run some s-hole in Arkansas on a Tuesday where they probably don't even have running water or indoor plumbing?

Unlimited.
However, after 4, I believe they get penalized big time.

I think it is funny they can't run the HL races, but the HL guys can run as many races outside there series as long as the HL aren't racing that night.
One of the back markers is here tonight. He will not be in the top 10 to 12.

I'm not so sure there are "penalties"----just don't get to reap the rewards. Maybe I'm wrong? Do they get fined or told to return money already paid? I guess I don't know the contract 100%

If they're not allowed to run the HL races, how is one of the 'back markers' there?

I think it's a matter of definitions. If they run too many non-WoO races, they are penalized by not getting lap money an dother fringe benefits going forward. I believe they also get penalized by being no longer eligable for the points fund. You could say that's penalizing someone for points they've already earned, but whatever. Tomato / tornado.
