Topic: No Limit of WoO Shows For HL Teams

It seems like HL gets the good end of this deal. They get to run a shorter schedule with some high-paying shows. They get to get in on the early stages of this charter deal. Plus they can poach as many of the world of outlaw shows as they want. WoO guys don't have that same luxury. To me that is a path that only helps the long term future of HL, while hurting the long tem future of the WoO.
Seems like the world of outlaws need to do away with that limitation of four shows for their guys, and let them poaches many of the HL shows as they can or want.
What am I missing here

Also, when you factor in the PR windfall every time a HL driver wins a WoO event, it's a win/win for HL.

And how about that grueling WoO schedule ? Mostly 2 nights of racing and then 4 or 5 days traveling and/or in a hotel room then they repeat. From March through October they will have to race 34 weekends.
HL schedule is condensed. For example - when they race out west they have 8 races from Aug 22 through Aug 31. HL seems to offer a much cheaper way for teams to race 4 - 8 nights.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see WoO condense their schedule for the 2025 season.

Donny Schatz already said with the HL schedule they would have spent a extra 30 something days in hotels instead of being at home

If I was a mature, intelligent, well spoken person who knew my bread had been buttered by one organization, I would be publicly supportinve of them as well.
And I suppose just becasue HL has a month plus off, doesn't mean teams are going to go home. Nothing says they can't stay out on the road and sit in hotels for 30 something days.

It is to bad that we don't have a driver or crew member from WoO or HL that could inform us . . . . . .
Maybe Flo or DV could do a behind the scenes feature?
There are plenty of creative ways for traveling or staying in places.

and Donny has his own personal jet.....so there is that part of the equation that most don't have at their disposal.

The answer to your question is probably money.
The teams receive a 75% bonus to the year end points fund if they honor the contract. For the outlaw champion, that is $150,000.
They also receive $1,000 per race night for tow money. Tow money for entire season would be about $80,000.
The 12 contracted teams are also allowed to park their souvenier trailers inside the track. Non-members cannot do that. We hear that the top teams make quite a bit of money on t-shirt sales.
