Wow, the  Nos car is running the  Nos sponsored series.  Call me surprised.

The High Limit has zero reason to have a driver roster.  The major talking point by the series and the fans was that Wo0 needs to let their drivers be free.

Well then that needs to be the founding  motto of HL.  If they say all drivers need to be free to race whenever and wherever.

All the series  needs to do and should do is just promote "X" track is having High Limit race.  Fans come and enjoy.

A driver roster is not needed because this is the series of the free drivers.

I am being sarcastic.

High Limit shouldn't even put out a driver roster. Again High Limit is the series who said the WoO  needs to free the drivers.  So then if High Limit  believes in free drivers a roster is pointless.for them.

I have zero problem with WoO locking up their drivers. One the teams don't  have to sign.

Also name me any business in this world that would help a competitor drive them out of business or lower their market share.

I guess it just surprises me that people think so many teams will leave WOO for High Limit. I mean what is the main difference? People get mad that WOO has a limit on how many other races these guys can run outside of WOO but it makes sense. They want the fans to know they are going to be getting the best drivers when the show comes to town

One question I've always had.....how many races WOULD these guys run if they could? The WoO schedule is pretty busy plus if you look at the typical schedule and how many 410 races would be feasible to hit, it isn't many. The Outlaws typically don't like to schedule close to other events and tracks that are close typically try not to schedule too close to outlaw events. Especially once we get to the spring/summer/fall months. Now I understand the rainout scenario but beyond that, how many races would these guys really run if they could with such a busy schedule as it is?

Not that many more. Just big events or everts near home on off weeks. Heck most are whining now about too many Outlaw races.

The Biggest issue would be piggy backing non outlaw shows close to an Outlaw event and watering down the attendance for the WoO show.

If the prize money is good and the travel is doable I'll wager they will run as much as humanly possible. After all it is a business too.

Right. It's always been my understanding (and I've been told this by someone who's very involved with the WoO) that the main reason behind the WoO having the rules they do wasn't so much about drivers and teams as it is about non WoO tracks scheduling creatively to get what amounts to an unofficial WoO show during times when their teams are in certain areas. The teams wanted more races so the WoO tried to do that after they put that rule on the books. It's never been about controlling teams. It's about protecting your business and keeping your product fresh.

Very well said but unfortunately a vast majority of people do not understand or look at it like this.

the outlaws could give a death sentence to the high limit series by putting some type of exclusivity rule on their big events like the knoxville nationals.  i think that's what irl did with the indy 500.  they can keep that in their back pocket if nobody is jumping out of the woo anyway.

i'd be curious to know what tony stewart thinks about this whole thing.  he tends to like making sanctioning bodies like nascar feel nervous...but he wants opportunities spread across every racer more.  based on what i heard on dirt nerds last week...they've taken away  a series that gave local guys/tracks especially in ohio more chances to run bigger races.  i still don't see how this whole venture is growing sprint car racing as much as it's trying to take it over...fairly unsuccessfully so far.

That is sort of the way the Tuscarora Fifty is. The Allstars run the first two nights but come Sat. for the big money Port Royal sets the format and I think it is show up points for the Allstars. Maybe that will change but I hope not. I have heard that there will be more money involved this year. I really think that there is a game of chicken going on at this point with some of these things. Some things may change based on who swerves first. Obviously some tracks hold a stronger bargaining position than others.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm super pissed the Outlaws aren't coming to Port in 2024.  It seems they put all their eggs in the High Limit  basket, and I think that was a bad choice.

I think Port has a lot to lose if their playing chicken because if this thing doesn't take off what are they left with? The Woo isn't in any hurry to get Lernerville back.

Port had piss poor WOO dates and the dates WOO wanted Port doesn't need the WOO to make successful. I don't see where they have much to lose. As stated somewhere else here they are one of the few tracks in a position to bargain. They won't loose a lot if they don't get WOO dates and maybe gain if they come out of it with better dates.

I am already tired of this crap! HL/WoO, for me as a paying fan and sponsor of a car, my $$$$$ will go with what has got us this far, the WoO! Kyle and Brad can try to create their own playground, but bottom line it is more financially sound to run the WoO with their percs as a platinum member rather than wildcatting with the lowlimit crap! If Larson were able to run sprints every weekend he would be with the Outlaws too! Long live the Outlaws, supporting sprintcars for nearly 50 years!

This is almost as exciting as watching college football players hit the transfer portal.

Does anyone really think that they are to walk outside next spring and see that the sky is falling?
