You are fortunate to experience Plymouth on a regular basis. It sets the standard pretty high and you won't find many tracks that can compare.
Fun racy short track, good group of racers and people. A covered grandstand and an amazing atmosphere, Best hamburgers at a race track ....period.
Has aways had one of the best run and organized racing programs.
George the announcer may not be the most flamboyant but he sure does one hell of a good job promoting the racers and sponsors. He keeps the fans in tune to what is going on and informed without screaming or acting like a circus clown.
You are unfortunate because you will compare everything to Plymouth and very few places will measure up to what you get to experience on a weekly basis.

Regular shows 10-20$
Lower tier series 15-25$
Hi limit Outlaw series 30-40$
Nationals or Nationals like shows 40-55$
If things get beyond that I get growlly.
Flo - priced very reasonably. 10-15$ a month is manageable.
Dirtvision - needs priced like Flo. I won't pay that much cause I'm tight and usually at a race track through 75% of their shows through the summer months. 40$ a month feels like it starts to add up and is noticeable.
Im probably not a great candidate to pay for both. I'd make myself choose one if evenly priced still.
Dont go to college or professional sports games or even NASCAR due to price and commitment. Will not pay to park. I just can't believe what some are willing to pay for sports and luxuries. My disease is spending money on investments to make more money. It's a serious Dutchman problem

I quit going to stick n ball sports a long time ago when the pricing madness started I'm afraid that's where we're heading. Charging for parking is around the corner then what's next seat licenses? It may sound ridiculous but greed always wins when the goal is making more money and im afraid that's what's taking over. The more they want it mainstream the more the fan or "grandstander" is gonna have to pony up.

Decent prices for sprint car races? Depends on how bad you want to see a sprint car race. I'd pay $50 to watch them at Charlotte because I'm thankful I finally got to see a 410 race in the Carolinas
As a die hard fan, I'd pay $100, probably a lot more, to watch 24 of the best sprint drivers in the world flat foot it into turn one at Lancaster Speedway in South Carolina.
You all have it so great. Its so depressing reading how miserably awesome all most of your lives are.

Ok I understand what you're saying but hear me out. I grew up in the heart of central Pa been to em all but the best "promoted" track was Silver Spring and they only ran 410s once a year they ran super sportsman kinda like a Sprint car but different and cheaper. They used to get 50 to 60 on a regular night plus late models and street stocks with a few specials for said divisions. Very affordable admissions and great affordable food a great place to take a family with great crowds that every week that the 410 tracks would die for weekly. They didn't need to put on big shows for big admission prices to cover the purses. Then the land it was on became too valuable , progress they call it. The track went away so did alot of the competitors but more importantly most of the fans. Why because they found something else to do ,.they could have easily gone to the 410 tracks but most didn't. The last season was 2005 now the supersportsman barely get full fields. Yeah being a die hard is great but there's never enough of them.

I grew up in central PA as well and the last few years if it wasn't a big show it was rather dull and boring no matter where you went. Now a regular show is around 20 to get in. That is why I would put 10 to 20 dollars more to see the best. Regular shows are just that regular nothing special. I go to very few regular shows anymore too watered down for my taste. Give me the bigger shows where everyone seems to show up and the entertainment value is a lot better. By the way I don't need 3 divisions. I am only interested in one - 410's and if it was Silver Springs - Super Sportsman - sad to say it but they don't put on as good as a show as they used to at Silver Springs.
I still can't go into that plaza that sits were Silver Springs used to be.

Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Flo is the best value hands down of the big 2.
DirtVision isn't all that bad considering you get all WoO and several local venues.

I get it but my point is the average Joe with a family can't always afford to go to all these high dollar special shows and this sport needs to attract new and younger fans to get that you need to get families to attend. There's no way I could afford to bring my family to a bunch of 45 dollar to get in big shows. This isn't baseball or football you have to keep it reasonable for people to afford it or they will find something else to do.

All the big races I was at this year...I saw familes were in attendance. Maybe they only go to a few big shows a year and that is better than not going at all.
I think people are getting ripped off for charging around 20 for a regular show. That is way too high for a regular show. The purses have gone up as well for a regular show. That is the reason they charge that amount.

If you were a track promoter would you want them to come to a couple special shows or every week?

As I said before... . regular shows are overpriced for what you have as far as quality race cars with too many divisions. So I guess you could say I rarely go to a regular show because of it.

Today's race from Baps for steaming was way out of line.
31.99 if you bought it before today. 36.99 if you bought it today. Rip-off if I ever saw one

Dirt Track Digest streams are always priced very high. That is the same people who run the dirttrackdigest.com site and message board. They do not offer a subscription option and they have said that their streaming price will always be higher than the cost of a ticket to the event being broadcast. Since they aare based in New York, they also do a lot of dirt Modified broadcasts. Thy often get a lot of grief about their streaming prices on their message board.

No, no no, no no....
You don't get it..live is MUCH better!
What you're saying is like saying music on TV is better than a live show, or watching porn is better than actual sex!
C'mon....

IMO, Port Royal and Lincoln have fantastic weekly shows. Full fields of 410's at both tracks and great support divisions - SLM's at Port and 358 sprints at Lincoln. 305 sprints and LLM's aren't bad for a 3rd division either. IMO $20 is very reasonable for weekly shows of this quality. Williams Grove has good weekly shows too but the quality of the 410 field has dropped of drastically in recent years.

Spot on post. They can't all be sanctioned specials to be successful. Central Pa wasn't built on any sanctioning body or one division. It's the fans and always should be.

For weekly shows, most tracks offer family deals that offer teens up to about 18 years, discount prices. IN NO CIRCUMSTANCE should a 12 year old be charged adult pricing! As for events like the WoO, All Stars, and the new High Limit, there should also be reduced pricing for all fans up to 18 years old. The cost should be at least 1/2 of general admission. They are our future and in most cases are being priced out.
