Better late than never, I finally got my photos from Phoenix uploaded to my website. GRP and I attended all 3 nights of the Western World Championships at Manzanita Speedway. Due to PIR running the USAC Midget and Silver Crown cars on Thursday, the Western World took on a different look this year. On Thursday night Late Models and Mods raced for the first time in the Western World. The USAC non-wing sprints had Friday night to themselves before being joined by the late models for Saturday's finally.
This years visit to PIR for the NASCAR races was a real treat. Not so much because of the racing, but because for the first time I had media passes which gave GRP and I access to the garage area and allowed me to dawn a photo vest and have full access to shoot photos. What a treat it was to freely roam pit road during Sunday's pre-race festivities and to shoot my first Cup race from the infield, pit area and victory lane. It was amazing and something I sure hope to do more of in the future.
Anyhow, I have hundreds of photos from Manzanita and PIR uploaded to my website for your viewing pleasure. Visit www.vfcfunding.com and follow the Track Rat Photos links to my photo gallery. Thanks for all of your support this past season.
Enjoy!
I sure did.
