I agree with you! Why would anyone want the demise of the Outlaws?? Must be one of those ASBS fans that want the dreaded 360 sprints to take over the sprint world! Long live the outlaws, the GREATEST SHOW on DIRT!
|
I don't think the poster wanted the demise of the Outlaws, just a different company running them. I definetly couldn't imagine 360s becoming the top level, although I like 360s too. I doubt any sprint car fan wants that.

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about WRG running the sprint, late model, and big block modified series?

We've addressed these rumors on SprintCarUnlimited.com. Donny Schatz will be back at TSR, Gio Scelzi is running a true-Outlaw schedule like last year.
|
Gio is too good to only run 60% of the season again.

I wasn't the poster that said I didn't like the WRG.

Maybe he's more interested in sprint car racing all over, verses corporate sprint car racing?

Anyone else feel this is the least "silly" off season for winged sprint cars in recent memory? Usually there's all kinds of rides switching around but we don't seem to have that this year?

It's still early, but you're right. I think we had a lot of movement last year with Gravel, Macedo, Reutzel all joining new teams. We still don't know about Roth's plans, nor do we know if any All Stars other than Bayston are moving to the WoO. So still some pieces to fill. But if Schatz is staying put, that's a big domino that isn't going to fall.

Because it's interesting to consider and discuss when there is no racing going on.

I guess it really isn't important. Just fun to talk about sprint cars and who will be where next year kind of like people do for every other sport. Sorry we made you read all this non sense.

Who knows if these dominoes will fall or not? We'll see.

I could be wrong, but I am asuming the #9 will be for Kasey when he feels like racing????

I just read that James McFadden took his entire crew with him to the 83. That seems very uncharacteristic to me. I thought in most cases the entire crew and Driver were employees of the owner. Was there a Fallout with Kasey that the entire team walked away?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

It's probably more likely the 9 will only run a limited schedule when Kasey wants to race so no need to have a full-time crew

Is it me, or does this seem like a very quiet "Silly Season". Maybe during the PRI show things will pick up?

I think its more like Kasey is fielding the car with Roths number and sponsorship like he did last year. The 9 team is just changing to the 83 team. Then when Kasey wants to race He will drive the 9.

Who said it has to be important?
People are just shooting the breeze until Chili Bowl & next outdoor racing season.
Guess what, in the bigger picture, sprint car racing isn't important at all
But we enjoy it!
