As far as I know, it's all general admisssion seating. The only time there was reserved seating was when the previous owner tried to make a quick buck.

Actually there is some reserved seating for some events and the current owner also charges more for those seats.

Ok non-wangers, here's another chance at establishing a signature high paying event at a large venue. I expect a packed house to witness rooster tails o' clay flying into the night sky and 6 wide non-wang racin' action.
Right?

They have plenty of GA, but no vertically raised seats for Short Little F@#*s as yourself. I know, they don't have XXXL seats for Fat F@#*s like myself either. Did you drive?

Will not be a packed house..it will be under 2500 fans.
To many things going on in the Sioux Falls Area that will pull the fans away...plus they cant run a timely show and seem to miss the track prep every week as they farm the track more then the Boone Nationals.

You're a 100 % right on the farming track part they did it 2 times last Sunday night the second time was enough for me with 2-hour plus drive home I left before the 360 A I was planning go Monday but after Sunday I stayed home this week I have a hotel so it won't be as big of a deal but I still think its B.S. to work the track just run the show and get the people home Glen Murra

I went out to Husets tonight for practice. The sign said: GEN. ADM $3 RES. W/BACKREST $40 RES. FLIP DOWNS $45 12 & UNDER $20
To me, that's still a little unclear. All the seats have backrests. About 3/4 of the seats are bleacher type from a stadium in Washington(?). The other 1/4 are flip down chairs like in a movie theater. So, some of the bleachers are reserve and some are general admission? I believe Glen Murra noted above that it's kind of like that. Can anyone link information to a map of seats for me? I looked on the Husets website but couldn't find it.

I checked the view from all over. If a guy was to get reserved seats, you'd want to be in section EE towards the north (#4 corner end). Those are flip down chairs, high enough up to see everything, and they don't have the handrail in the way.

A few observations from going out to the USAC practice tonight at Husets-
*The sprints and midgets are lightning fast.
*The midgets appear to be faster than the sprints, but that may be an optical illusion because of the size difference.
*The midgets went out 4 at a time for about 5 laps. They worked the groove up about 1/4 of the way up the track.
*The sprints then went out and moved the cushion up to about the 2/3 point.
*The push trucks then mashed down the track above the cusion.
*For the 2nd half of practice, the track was awesome. It was smooth, dry and fast. The cars that went high were throwing some dirt.
*The fumes from the sprints were pure methanol heaven. In recent years, it seems like 410 sprints smell like burning plastic.
*There are a lot of campers there already in the Husets campground
*Husets catches a lot of static for their track prep. Obviously, what they need is a dozen wingles 410's to do the magic.
*They're going to need to mark the top of the inside berm really well. It's been cut down now so that it's only about 12-18" tall from what you can see in turns #1 & #4. Some of the racers were testing running low with the left front on top of the curve. Without seeing exactly where it was, a couple of them got a little wild.
*If you go, take goggles and ear protection. You'll be happy you did.

There will be AMPLE room to sit....I would take a guess anywhere for 7500 to 8000 seats will be open.
Don't commit to one seat, move around a little, the place will look huge without a packed house. Plus there are some unqure angles to watch some racing

This is the worst weekend they could run this event. Football season has started. High school football is tonight, tomorrow is college and Sunday is the NFL opener. They are going to lose their ass on this event. I live in Sioux Falls, I love non wing cars and I will not be attending at all.

Diehard race fans like myself did attend & the racing was great, especially both feature races.
Can't wait for Saturday & Sunday's show as well.
