Does anyone have any insite if the Kings Royal is going to happen on the scheduled date? What are the current quarenting rules in Ohio? (we're coming from Rhode Island). We plan to attend the show at Paragon Speedway on the 19th. I called the track and was told the are going full open July 4th weekend. Hopefully Eldora does also. I wrote and called Eldora with no reply.

A bunch of us that are headed out for the Kings Royal got together and discussed our options last night.
The company we rented motor homes from said if Eldora cancels we would get a refund from them.
JMO I believe Tony will do everything in his power to get the King's Royal run in front of fans.
I believe we are going to roll the dice and head out from central pa to see the races.
If you were never there the place is amazing, and is something you will definitely enjoy.
Looking forward to 4 nights of racing.
Good Luck with your decision.

Last update that was given as far as mass gatherings such as sporting events & concerts was that their would be an announcement on 7/1. This was stated by the Governor & The Ohio Department of Health. Currently a lot of businesses have opened including restaurants with limited seating capacity. The hockey rink I worked at is open with limited amount of occupancy & scheduled leagues start approximately 6/15. They have been slowly rolling things out which is good.
Now not to alarm anyone but just want to let you know. The Ohio State Fair has been cancelled along with many others that started later in July. The Arts festival cancelled which takes place the same weekend as well as many other gatherings. I say that not to say that I think it will be ran with no or limited fans, but rather to say make sure you have all information organized just in case you do have to cancel. The Governor and Health Director have daily meetings I believe at 2pm

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there's a 0.01% chance it'll be run at normal whether it's ran in July or if they push it back. I do think though there will be limited capacity outdoor venues in Ohio sometime this summer. There's been a lot of news coming out that college and pro football teams are planning for 25-50% stadiums in the fall. It'll be up to Eldora whether they want to run the Royal in front of a limited capacity crowd.

Almost all local summer festivals have been cancelled in west Ohio along with the Country Concert in nearby Fort Loramie. And as mentioned, no State Fair, which isn't until late July/early August. I just can't see how they can have 25,000 drunks slobering all over each other the 2nd weekend of July but I hope I'm wrong.

I watched night one of the Eldora Late Model Stream last night and they mentioned that some of the bigger events require a crowd to make them work. The Dream, Kings Royal, World 100, and I believe Four Crown are their big shows.

I just seen today that kings island and cedar point can open 6/19/20. Not sure the details of them opening. Plus I also seen they filed a lawsuit also.

The PGA Tournament appears to only be allowing a certain amount of spectators but at this time it does not say how many. It was said I believe last week that Theme Parks would be the next phase of businesses to reopen but, they filed suit to open immediately. Today it was announced it will be 6/19 which was the original plan anyway and from what was said, it appears they are ok with it. More details as far as attendance and what is needed to attend those places will be announced by those places closer to 6/19. Zoos, Movie Theaters, and Museums can open on Wednesday next week.
I believe the Golf Tournament and theme parks submitted reopening plans with the guidelines that they plan to setup to the Governor's office and Health Department. Not sure if Eldora has created one, outlined one. or sent a plan in or not. I believe Wayne County Speedway plans to have fans tomorrow at their race here in Ohio though limited tickets. Still as of now, July 1st is probably when we will know offically if it will be normal attendance for the Kings Royal.

Here is the Gov'nrs tweet. I assume that Eldora is a "racino"
Governor Mike DeWine✔@GovMikeDeWine
NEW: Two weeks from today, casinos, racinos, amusement parks, and water parks, will be able to open. In addition, we received safety plans for the Memorial Golf Tournament to be held July 13-19. We are approving that plan.

I don't think any motorsports facility qualifies as a "racino." Those are the places where they have casinos at horse racing tracks (I believe Scioto Downs south of Columbus is one).
