Just wondering....I hear about all the rules & regulations involving sprint cars these days. I grew up in the late 70's & 80's of racing & just got back into sprints again a few years back. How rigid are the standards? Are cars regularly teched for engine violations, traction control, etc.... not trying to start any controversy lol...just a question. Thanks

Weight, Tires (Correct marking on the outside of the tire like MED or H12 ect, common to see a CI tube. other than that pretty much visual, correct wing(dished or flat with a wickerbill) Flat only for 410s, correct muffler, teathers if required.

if you go to knoxville they have a pretty extensive pre race tech compared to most local series, they check chassis thickness in multiple spots, thickness of the bumpers, overall they give a once over and point out anything that might be a safety concern. WoO does tube thickness checks also.

I have heard of series taking spark boxes to have them tested but I cant confirm that statement.

Knoxville tests tires for doping.

I am not what else is being done but I am sure someone else will fill in the gaps.
