From what I have heard Shelden will be driving the family car full time with ASCOC. Jac is running part time with the new series in Ohio OSCS and probably where ever and whenever he can get a ride. He will probably look to run all the big shows if he can get a ride for them.

What past result Nance

What he said, Haud is a great guy and i have talked to him and like him alot but its wreckers or checkers for him and no inbetween,

he is hell on equipment and car owners like to have race cars in one piece at the end of the day if they can and his boy is the same way always crashing and tearing cars up, so knowing that along with schatz cant be beat, so why hire a guy who cant get the results your looking for? Im not hating on the hauds but its a known fact he wrecks the shit out of equipment. And he is down to he cant really win anywhere but eldora

Haud did a good job in the R-19 and if you want full potential out of a car he is a gasser and has supported his family for many years thru his passion for racing.I have never heard a bad word about him and I would say he is close in age to Kinser Swindell and Lasoski and they are still a threat to win any race and are also a good draw for fans. The younger boys have the charisma of their dad and hope they do well.To say Schatz cant be beat is a true statement but there are some teams ready to take on the challenge.Kinser was in the same position when Karl involved and time and circumstances or[ hopefully not injuries] are all factors that enter into dominance like Schatz and Werner have shown for the last few years.

Jac should have a fulltime ride based on past result!

If the world revolved based upon "past results" Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus would be in the final group at the Bob Hope Desert Classic this weekend.  Instead the Tournament is called the "The Careerbuilder" and two of the foundations of Professional Golf are resting at home watching football.  Life goes on....

With each passing year, there are fewer independent ( non driver ) car owners in the sport.  It's the norm now for drivers or a family member to own their own teams.  And those fewer independent car  owners are looking for emerging talent, especially ones who can bring things to the party.  I'm not trying to be disrespectful to the older drivers, but sooner or later it is time to move over for the next generation. We need to support the younger, rising stars,  as they are the future of racing.  And if the older crowd wants to race, there is nothing holding them back from buying their own cars.  The crashing comments in this discussion may be true, but I think it's more of a case of fewer independent car owners out there.  Having been involved in racing in many capacities for  60 years, I prefer remembering drivers as  they performed while in their  prime, not at the end  of their careers.  I thank all of the older crowd for many great memories, but sooner or later it's time to follow new pursuits and make way for the next class of stars.

There's some truth in what you say but as long as a driver can still get it done and there's still people willing to put him in a ride or he's able to field his own, I don't blame them for sticking around. As much as I love racing, I couldn't just quit going to races if I was still able to do it so I can't imagine what it's like for a guy like Steve Kinser who still loves it and is still capable of winning a race or 2. He doesn't win like he did but look at the competition his most recent wins have come against and that tells me, he's still better than most and can still get it done. I've seen enough of Jac over the past few years in Central Pa and he still drives the absolute shit out of a car and for a guy his age, that's unbelievable because usually older drivers get much more mellow. I'm in awe of how daring and spectacular he still is. He drives like he's still a kid who hasn't gotten their ass busted enough times and still hasn't figured out where the edge is yet. For that reason, I think he could still do great things if he could settle in with a good team instead of ride jumping like he does. I'll guarantee one thing, if I hit the lottery, he's getting a call from me because he's still one of the most exciting drivers on earth.

Could not have said it any better. To come from dead last to I believe, 8th, in the kings royal speaks volumns on talent and skill, and he wasn't in a car much during he year.  Put Jac in a car full season, paired up with bonzie, ( if Sheldon get a ride somewhere ) and they would rack up wins.

No matter how hard you try.........you can't polish a

I'm on the same page as you regarding Jac....he can still get it done....no doubt....plus, how the hell can anybody have much  success jumping from ride to ride? Sure as hell can't gel a team together that way. I'd like to see Haude in a good ride and run 50-60 shows a year. I guess only Jac knows if that's what he would want to do. Maybe he's content doing what he's doing.

Any possibility hes hooking up with Tom Buch again for a full season in PA this year?  Seemed to be fast in the car at the end of the year.

I'd love to see that but I haven't heard anything as far as what Buch's plans are going forward. Hopefully they at least put him in it for the special shows, Speedweek etc. Jac definitely looked good in that car. If they run enough races, they'll get a win or 2 for sure.

I'm not sure how or if you can post a clickable link on this forum but if anyone is wondering if Jac can still get it done, I found this video on YouTube. You be the judge....... https://youtu.be/jUuGgtk1taM

If you are using Chrome as your browser, for any of these "dead links" simply highlight the url and then right-click it.  A menu with three options will pop up.  Hit the "go to" button and there you go.  Its a little extra work, but it gets the job done.
