The Classic starts Friday night Aust time at Premier Speedway and runs over three nights. There are 124 teams including Hirst, Allard, McCarl, Sides, K Kinser, Sweet,Madsen brothers, Tatnell plus some other drivers from the U.S.,look it all up on Sprintcarworld.

They will will be running live vision over the net on what's called "Clay per view", $30 Aust  view each night, probably cheaper once the exchange rate is worked out.

Check it out.

I have been to this track a half dozen times, it is a bullring with wild racing, easily in my top 5 tracks worldwide.

Quick question, I watched the PPV years ago, can you give me anymore info, a link, start times etc.  I remember it started around 3 or 4 in the morning, thanks in advance....

This meeting has a seriously good reputation and with a car count like that it's a bucket list show for sure.

Track looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. How hard is it to get to?

Warrnambool is around a 3 hr drive from Melbourne, the track is actually located adjacent to a small village called Allansford (Google earth)which is 10k,'s. -10 mins from Warrnambool.Today the weather looked bad but it turned out ok, racing is still going on.The weather can play a big part as South of here is ocean and Antartica. It gets cold there!!!

So so far tonight McMahan ,Allard, Sweet and McCarl have all run and placed around second in their heats.The  track is actually community /club owned and in the past they have raced into the early hours of the morning ,with  zero noise complaints.

The city of Warrnambool understands speedway , race trucks are parked everywhere through town even in the middle of some of the really wide streets where the sprinters are being worked on, the police etc are cool about the whole thing!!

More than likely (as usual) they will have to lock the gates for the final night as the facility will be filled to capacity. For PPV I would think night 3 would be the one to pay for.

This event is the Aussie version of the Knoxville nationals.

Warrnambool =Sprintcars.

Thanks for that info Henry, but I need to ask.

Did anyone watch last night's race? What time did the actual racing start (EST) and what time did it end?  I think they draw and run two heats so there is no time trialing.  Hot laps at 5, racing at 6 or so Aussie time??  Thanks in advance....Hope to watch it tonite....

All I can say is the video is pretty good.

Who put a car body on a sprint car chassis and make them turn right?
