having safely navigated my way back across the Pacific I just want to thank the guys and gals at Hoserville for their hospitality at the Gold Cup

You guys are just the best and I hope that it is not another 7 years before I can get back up there.

Especially I need to thank Yz for looking after me, and it was great to renew old frienships and make new ones. I hope I can repay the hospitality one day.

To Pacetruck Chuck for giving me a ride in the pacetruck during Friday nights heats - that was so cool. Thanks Topwing for arranging the stint with Troy on Wednesday.

Rose- thanks for helping me with the Rumplemintz,

and Larry and Sally- remember how i like my eggs!

As a racing community Hoserville are unsurpassed, and I hope you can keep it the fun environment that it is.

To my partners in the Beanbags at Calistoga and Chico-sorry that I was such a dud thrower, but Yz is going to forward plans so i can make some boards to use here in kiwiland.

Glad we had an opportunity to chat a bit this time around. I visited the Powerbuilt Speedway website. I even checked out some excellent satellite imagery on Yahoo! maps. Looks like a very nice facility! I'd love to visit New Zealand one day but, don't worry, I doubt it will be any time soon, LOL!

Glad that you made it back in one piece and I hope that the move goes well. It was my pleasure finally meeting you and I, also, hope that it isn't another seven years.

Yzman, because of you I just attended my best Gold Cup. Thank you!

From Forseburg and Hanestad (my two pics on Wednesday) putting on a show but both finishing 2nd, to Jon Allard's oh-so-close drive to take it all on Saturday.. well those make great bookends to some pretty fine racing in the middle. Especially for an Outlaw show! That was some awsome racing and although the Outlaws pretty much took everything except for the Thursday win by Allard, our boys made them know they were in a race.

Some Lowlights...

The seats we had at the top of turn 4 becoming not so perfect on Saturday. For Television, they put up spot lights about five feet behind our heads. Not only were they hot, you couldn't drink a beer or eat a nacho without crunching bugs between your teeth. It was pretty bad.

Oh yeah, as the Gold Cup fog begins to clear, I now remember that Andy didn't finish 2nd on Wednesday... 4th I believe. Should have won though!
