Anything during a weekday is most likely out for me. I live in Frederick md so everything is a hour plus drive for me. Unless it's at Hagerstown it's not happening while school is in.

Seniors at the school I teach at graduate on June 6th, all of my five classes are 50 to 80% seniors, Grandview 1hr away, Lincoln about 3 hours away, New Egypt 1hour away, Grove, Port Royal and Susky 2 to 3 hours away, but on weekend so no problem.  All of my classes will be finished with their finals so I plan on going to them all.  I will be able to leave school by 2:30, 2:45 at the latest, get home and still get 5 hours of sleep, only problem I see is the Lincoln show, but what the hay, who needs sleep when there are non-wing races in the East

Only 425 miles from home in NC but the Champ cars at the Grove for sure plus Lincoln and Susky.  The Grove event should be Grove number 100 since 1967.  Maybe have some champagne on Beer Hill.

Well I am not sure why there was not more response to this thread or question ?  I was hoping to see more when I put it up . But I am going to try and make most of them I hope , love non-wing racing but I do love the local guys as well at certain tracks . I don't know if people realize what is going on here this week alot of competition for your dollars , besides the USAC shows Tuesday  thru Sunday  , we have Selinsgorve on Friday night , then we have Lincoln running a qualifying race extra money for the Dirt Classic plus the NSL is coming in for this one race . Then to close out the week besides USAC at Susquehanna , we have Selinsgrove running a late model race to close out a local speed week . You know I have nothing against  any track, but when USAC comes in  I think its not right to have competition running against these the way it's coming down . I know the local  guys need to race and I am ok with that, but my point is your dollars only go so far ?
So the tracks will hurt each other , fighting to get the crowds ? And if the track promoters don't make a decent profit they may not bring back USAC . This is an overview of what might happen , it is not about what I like or dislike , so please look at this  with an open mind and not about me . So the crowds will be split Friday  ,Saturday and the crowds maybe off and some track has got to be hurt at the gates.

I'd love to go to all of them & support the series, but it comes when I'll just be arriving from a long drive from  Denver, Co. to spend summer with 93 yr. old Mom who lives alone, & I wouldn't feel right going to all of those races while she was sitting there by herself. I'll go to Grandview, & get in LOTS of good wingless racing on the way...Indiana Midget week!

Have a great New Years!

..... & don't post your New Years resolutions wink

So everyone should just shut down when USAC comes to town..... Ok. You never cease to amaze me.

But yet you want someone to try & race against the Grove on Fridays, and guarantee you'd welcome if tracks ran against the WoO.   You sure don't hide your agenda very well.

But you stated in an earlier post you wanted a promoter to schedule a special race on a night Williams Grove was running! Now your sad cause other tracks are running the same night as a couple USAC shows.

That proves 2 things

1 You are a hypocrite

2 You really do dislike Williams Grove no matter how much you claim you don't.

Afterall, you have never said you would like to see another track run a big special on the same night the Port is racing!

I knew my critics would  turn this around again ,I am not stating anything here as to my agenda, you guys are not looking at the overall picture as to tracks scheduling , not a total shut down as you call it and other claims you make . This week besides USAC there is too much scheduled  for fans to decide where to spend your admission dollars , now do you understand ?  It is just ashame the way it went this week and weekend .

And you are too dense to realize that every post you make has an obvious agenda.

And to dumb to see that he constantly contradicts himself. All the bashing he gets, he asked for. And he created all his critics with his own posts.

Saddest thing of all is he never made a positive post about a race he attended and really enjoyed. And if he ever does it will include a list of complaints and things he thinks need improved.

I did not creat my critics , I have enjoyed many races , and I stated in some posts . You guys are not as smart as you think you are and neither am I ,but I am not going to bash you . You can say all you want about me and my opinions . You still obviously can't see my point to what I wrote after posting original thread or message . Look I post what I think , and I am sorry if you don't agree. I love all racing it doesn't matter what it is as long as its not follow the leader , shows passing or now slide jobs are more common these days , as its not easy to pass.An to give you a postive spin on what I 've seen in forty years of racing , side by side racing , saw some great races at Lincoln years ago, and the Grove , and all tracks in Pa .
                                                           1. Grandview -might have the best racing because of size 2. have seen great racing at Port. 3. kokomo , great track,4. Osky -saw great non wing shows there and more great racing i've witnessed . But I think that the cars of today are too locked down , so I would like to see them freed up some , whats your opinions on that guys ?You know gentlemen you really only think you know me but you don't as I don't know you , if you ever want to talk I 'd be glad to talk with you about racing .

No, it is not bingo ,it is no agenda its poor planning  by certain people to create competition to hurt fellow tracks and to hurt the USAC RACES , I think it is called greed  , it seems to happen alot on Saturdays even when regular shows run . But then its all about money and taking  advantage of people loving racing so much. Its to bad that  tracks can't alternate Saturday nights so fans could have the best of racing , but it won't happen unfortunately . But becuase of the expense of the business now the teams choose to either run Friday night or wait until Saturday night to run either track . It use to be a big car count on Friday nights at the Grove .

Yeah everyone is out to jam one up the asses of all the tracks running USAC races on those nights. You have uncovered a grand conspiracy. Way to go Dick Tracy.

No it not about hurting the USAC races sir its about scheduling  races that hurt each other , thats my  point not hurting USAC . Fans will have to choose between races either one night or the other and some tracks will suffer . I really hope that all tracks do well but as I said tracks will get hurt . This sir was a stupid comment by you , you always say I make bad comments well you just did also . As I said it is unfortunate that these things happen , so you lose as a fan and a track may lose .

"Scheduling races against each other" something which you recently advocated for.  It's the same thing whether you believe it or not and you were called on it.
