Natalie Sather is taking her talents to Nascar. Wish her luck but hate to see her go.

A good opportunity for her to  broaden her career in marketing but boring racing . I am sure this could lead to other positions for her . NASCAR needs to reboot what there racing has become ?

No, NASCAR doesn't need to reboot, the idiotic SPONSORS of NASCAR need to wake up and see that the popularity of that brand is waning, and that they need to distribute some of that money to the grass roots racing all over the country.   Far fetched but that is what needs to happen.  NASCAR is on a long and slow decline, sooner or later, the sponsors will see this....

Well  said MR. MADDOG , it is on a decline ,not exciting , too long , costs to much to go and more . Grass roots racing is where it needs to be even INDY CAR RACING can do more , like get more american drivers like before , bring  them up thru the ranks of grass roots racing .

Do you feel there is an abundence of non american drivers being brought up through grass roots racing that are taking away from the locals?

You misinterpreted what robertaltman wrote. He said even Indy Cars could do better, by bringing more American grass roots drivers to their series (like they did when they actually had a good fan base,), instead of the foreigners.

Why do people get but hurt everytime someone gets a ride? In this "sport" everything is bought weather it's mom, dad, sponsors nothing is free and very very few make it anywhere on just talent it's all about the Benjamin's! That's why I have trouble calling racing a sport. It's the only "sport" where talent don't mean shit. Money wouldn't get you on a NFL, NHL, MLB, MBA team. Not saying he don't deserve a shot, I don't know enough of him so not directed towards his situatio. Just saying money is racing at all levels!
