The 75th annual Turkey Night Grand Prix will be LIVE on thecushion.com for flag to flag coverage the 3rd year in a row. Perris Auto Speedway will be a buzz tonight as Keith Kunz has 5 cars entered with Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Christopher Bell, Kevin Thomas Jr and Tanner Thorson. Also looking to make some noise up front will be Bryan Clauson, Brad Sweet, Chad Boat, Dave Darland and Tracy Hines (in his last full time USAC event). We go Live at 5:45pm Pacific (8:45 Eastern, 7:45 Central). Stuff yourself all day, relax, take a nap, then watch the Turkey Night GP with some leftovers.

I think high ticket prices plus low car count and the cold weather had a big effect.
After seeing the weather forecast, I was going to purchase the web cast, but after seeing only 22 cars, made the choice not to purchase. Glad to hear there was good racing, but PAS and Aggie's need to improve this event, when it was on Pavement, they had decent car counts, plus they ran sprint cars.
Any chance they could run 360 sprints as a support class. Plenty of 360's in the area, plus many of the usac guys ran them in Az, easily get 40 plus sprint cars.
Until they change the format and ticket prices, not a priority to attend anymore.
I think car counts are also affected by the dominance of KKM and their $HP. Hard to beat the best drivers, in the best prepared cars, and best motors, and best funded etc.

Seems motorsports from the top all the way down to the bottom is trying to price itself out of reach of many of the fans it depends upon for its survival.
If motorsports wants to be the sport of the elite -- it has to wait in a long line. If it wants to grow (again) as the sport of the mainstream public it should make itself a bit more financially accessible. As ticket prices have increased - I have reduced my attendance to races exponentially... I suspect many other families have done as well.
Sure $30-ish is cheap considering attending an event in person ---- but race promoters, and in this case, race video streamers must consider that $30-ish is multiple times more expensive than a MONTHLY sub to Netflix/Hulu/Amazon video or MLB/NFL/NBA.com -- and they deliver entertainment content all month long.

Turkey Night should return to Bakersfield or venture to Ventura. Just like Belleville, the car count will remain small if continued on big tracks.

I'm still glad I went, great racing.
By the way, Scott, I tried the Pink's hotdog, pretty good, but $10????
The Tri-Tip sandwich, on the other hand, was excellent!

Yea, Keith Kunz team is like 4 or 5 Donnie Schatzes. But more power to'em, they get it done....
I just wish they would have a different number for each car!
