He raced quite a bit this year. I can't imagine he will stop altogether. My guess would be he continues to race mostly in the Midwest with ASCOC and WOO while hitting up some bigger events. I've seen nothing official though.

My daughter and I had the chance to talk with Steve at his autogragh session at the Knoxville Nationals in August. He told us he is done at the end of this season. He said he just doesn't like the feel of the cars with the new narrower tires, and that they are a hand full to drive anymore. His words were "I just have no business being out there any more." So time will tell if he meant it or not? I think we just witnessed the end of a GREAT career!! It's very sad to see, but would really hate to see him get hurt at this piont in his life!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

Always will be the King... I'm thankful I was lucky enough to be a fan during his Circa of greatness. And Sammy to for that matter.

I think that the more interesting question may be will Kraig Kinser be racing next year.

I too remember Steve saying 2015 was it.....said he's "40lbs too heavy and out of shape"....well, only he can do something about that. Even if he is done driving, getting himself better fit would be a good thing. As a caring fan, I only wish the best for him! I'll always miss the days of the past when he, Sammy and Doug tore up the dirt together! There will never again be three drivers on the track at the same time that will compare to "The Big Three"!

Talked to Dana at the World Finals she said the same thing that Seve and Kraig might not race unless their is major help ,they cant compete with the big money teams without a big sponsor and they are hard to find with todays econmy.
