I have added Jerry Richert Memorial photos to the gotomn.com photo gallery. They include hotlaps, time trials and racing up through the Sprint B Main. After the B I joined some family members in the grandstand for the Features so there aren't any victory lane of Feature racing photos.

It was Jerry "Scratch" Daniels out of St. Paul. I watched Scratch drive the #22 Supermodified at Twin City Speedway when I was a kid. He went on to race Sprint Cars with USAC and won some races. Scratch was a top runner against guys like Jerry Richert Sr., AJ Foytt and Johnny Rutherford when he ran with IMCA and USAC. Those circuits were like a lot like the Outlaws are today but dirt drivers back then had more opportunities. Some would run both dirt and the Indy 500 but Scratch concentrated on the Sprint Cars. He walked away from racing when his brother was injured in an IMCA Sprint Car race in 1969. I was fortunate to be able to see Scratch drive Supermodifieds from 1962 up until he started traveling.
