Mr Elliott, You have no idea as I said before. Not going to get into all the handicap deal but why is there more car count when the Outlaws come in town? The economy is the key to most of your said problems. Could make this a two page discussion with your show this week. John is NOT wrong...just saying.
Kolten is correct the timing is great for him as I heard that the KKR team may only be a one car team.
Todd has already bought a motor home hope he now gets to enjoy his time.

It is a real simple equation..,..when a regular fan can take a guest to the track without making excuses for the facility's condition before arriving, susky will be doing the right things.
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I don't agree with your parity argument either. Unhooking the cars with rules made for less parity not more. The harder they are to drive and setup, the more passing. There are only a handful of people winning all the races now. When they are stuck wide open is when no one can pass. The racing isn't bad now, they just need to unhook them even more to get cost down.

These guys are business men and will want some return on their investment and I truly doubt much will get done on the bleachers until all the other issues are addressed

I'm the one that said it was economic. John said it was handicapping.

Agreed. Which is what I said on the show...sort of. The good drivers and teams, regardless of unhooking or not, will win races.

People usually crap all over you, but when Greg Hodnett is whining non-stop despite winning more than anybody else, it's time to take a look at what we can improve in PA.

Maybe we need a track to run on Friday nights with the grove? Could bring smaller money cars out of the woodwork for both tracks...

Gotcha.
"Parity" only seems to manifest itself when the track is fast. 3 tenths separates the top 20 in qualifying at Williams Grove during the Outlaw shows. During the features it is a completely different story. A second and a half separates 1st thru 20th.
Dietrich won the Friday night Outlaw show with a best lap time of 19.175 on lap 10. Joey Saldana put down the fastest lap of 18.186 on lap 2 and ran 5th. Montieth finished 20th with a best lap of 20.581 on lap 4.
Stevie Smith won the Outlaw show on Saturday night with a best time of 18.459 on lap 3. Aaron Ott put down the fastest lap of 18.249 on lap 2 and ran 3rd. Doug Esh finished 20th with a best lap of 19.736 on lap 7.
Thankfully the new soft compound RR is too soft to even run in the feature. It still was a big step in the wrong direction.
Cost is the only real problem with sprint car racing. They need to unhook them even more to cut costs and so they aren't running around wide open in the heat races. Qualifying is the only time the racing sucks. The racing during the features is great. You have people coming from the back to the front again since they started unhooking them.

Good luck to new GM Kolten Gouse ,Good luck to Scott Gobrecht , timing is right for both . Story I heard is new clay , a grandstand is coming , and restrooms are Scott's priorities but it won't happen overnight but in the mean time fans please support Susquehanna Speedway. Cost are the main problem in racing right now and they to find ways to cut costs , that why a lot of teams are skipping races over others . My understanding is that a few drivers requested the softer tires ,thats where that came from . And maybe its time to another track to run Friday night ? but fans aren't seeing all the cars at one track like it use to be ?

My question to you is how do you unhook the cars without incurring additional cost?
If you do something with the tires, its not reducing the cost, in fact your eliminating any used tires out there because in order to comply you need to buy new.
If you change the wings, again your getting rid of the current style and everybody needs to buy new.
No matter which way you look at it your always going to have people who buy speed, the main thing I feel alot of teams need to work on is making the dollar your spending go further. There are alot of things you can do to save money or do yourself.

Wing angle rule just does away with hydraulic ram like our super sportsman do.
It's pretty easy to use up tires with notice. Narrower wheels are more of an issue unless you can get away with $150 wheel halves.
Either way you would be saving $150-$200 a race in engine costs by unhooking them and enticing a lot of people to move up to the 410s.
