OKC is very lucky (not me because I have to race against them) with the quality of sprint car drivers we have here. The top 25 in points can win a show on any given night. It's just not like that anywhere else. In PA there are only about 15 guys that can win, and only 7 of them can consistently do good.
With that being said I don't think that there is a "best in Super Sprints." People like different tracks; Michelle, Sellers, and Goodman and the rest of the Tulsa guys like the dry slick on the bottom. Dan, Lee, and Joe Wood Jr. like a fast track with a cushion. Strike and Larry like a dry track with a good top. I think that there IS a top tier group, but not one best.

I think ALL of you are the best. Like cheese21 said "OKC is lucky", we have some of the best Dirt Track racing in the Nation. Aside from some officiating blunders the competitors at SFS are all Top Notch.
Chris Burns is smooth, consistent, and fast. That's a hard combination to beat. After all he is a two time defending Champion in two Divisions. I spoke with him recently, he is down to earth and offers his knowledge to others.
It is hard to single out any one Driver or team, the potential is there for each and every one of you. The competition is just so close, you have to be on top of your game.
Great job by all

Uncle A,
I agree, the competion level at SFS is of the highest caliber in the nation. The one thing I wish would happen rule wise is NO ELECTRONICS! Go back to dirver/car and may the best person win.
Beat me up over this post if you wish

Sheila, I absolutely agree. No electronics, but unfortunately we are in the electronic age and that seems to be the future of things to come. However, I for one do agree we need Transponders since the current score keeping at SFS is far less than efficient.
You in turn can beat me up over this issue but, I am certain you will win. You are a true Lady, I have nothing but pure respect and admiration for you, Earnest, and your entire family. You are all great people.

I read my former post and feel ashamed I didn't mention who I really think is the best sprint car driver at SFS period.
JOE WOOD JR. If anyone has paid attention that kid has improved so much its scary. And he's only gonna get better. They run on a budget like many others..........but still have that desire to go run other track and other series. They probably lose their ass doin it. But thats how much them fellas wanna race. As I said before the drivers who get out and try to get seat time at other tracks should be highly commended for it. Thats not to take anything away from drivers like Burns, Dittman, Lee Jennings, or any others. They're great too in their own right and its a pleasure to watch all of em put it all out there to put on a show for us fans every friday.
But I really like these drivers who are tryin to get seat time at multiple tracks. and also guys that are doing it on a limited budget. Everyone knows who they are. you gotta root for em.

I know what your saying, but I PROMISE that most people, Lee and I especially, don't race at other tracks because we don't want to. It's all $$$$$$$$$$. Students are especially screwed in the racing world. With that said, we will (money pending) be at the Winter Nats at Lawton, OKC, and Dallas. And both of us would be happy to run Ada if anyone has a couple of motors we could can run.

I hear ya Cheese. I've seen posts from Sheila and you about that situation. Anyone with sense agrees that college is a hell of a lot more important than a racing hobby. If ya'll ran 2 nights a week it would be hard for ya'll to get back out the next week if you got any damage........harder than it currently is. Like I said.............I'm not trying to take anything away from guys who don't run other tracks or ascs.
But I do think there are a few front runners who could and should show their skills against some ascs cars. That is what the sooner region is really missing. Its repped by Texas guys and Tulsa guys.........but there is not a whole lot of OKC guys consistently runnin the sooner region. And we all know there are some great drivers at SFS. and its great to see em at SFS.......but take away the Waco and Little Rock races and its pretty much Creek, MAS, Lawton, OKC, Cowtown, and Devils Bowl. ABout 12-15 races between those tracks. I know there are a lot of reasons guys dont do it that I'm not aware of..............but I'd still like to see how SFS drivers stack up against some outside competition.............

You forgot to mention Darrell, and Red at Taft Stadium. They too were good racers.
