Southern Oklahoma Speedway Ready for Sprint Series of Texas!

Ardmore, Oklahoma – August 20, 2015 - The Sprint Series of Texas will be making their second and final appearance of the season at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma this coming Saturday night, August 22.

When the tour last made their appearance atop the John and Nicky Webb owned facility back on July 24, Jason Howell took home the victory over a strong 26 car field.

Currently, Dustin Woods of Forney, Texas is the current SST point leader coming into the night, followed by Jerry Hammock, Mike Herring, Adam Barr, Gary Kelly, Howell, Reagan Reed, Mark Klis, Jr., Joshua Hanna and Drew Wright.

The SST utilizes the Racesaver IMCA  Sprint Car rules and this Southern Oklahoma Speedway event will be the tours last before the annual Racesaver IMCA Sprint Car Nationals at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska over the Labor Day weekend so this event will be a tune-up, of sorts, for the drivers who will be heading North for their huge event.

Also running will be the tracks modified, limited modifids, economy limited modifieds, hobby stocks and stock car divisions.

Pit gates open at 5:00 PM with racing slated for a 7:30 PM start time. Adult grandstand admission is $20; $15 for children ages 6-12 and all seniors. All pit passes are $30.

Southern Oklahoma Speedway is located off of I-35 to exit 29, then head east on Hwy 70 approximately 0.7 miles then two miles south on Hwy 77. More race and track  information can be obtained by accessing the tracks official website www.southernoklahomaspeedway.com, their official facebook page Southern Oklahoma Speedway or call the track (405) 627-1766.
