Five Down, Five Remain for NCRA Modified Tour!

Park City, Kansas – August 20, 2015 - Hard to believe we are closing the month of August and only five events have been completed on the 2015 National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified tour and thanks to good-ole Mother Nature, five events still remain before we close out the 17th consecutive season for the tour.

The next two events will be held over the traditional Labor Day weekend, starting with their third appearance of the season at 81 Speedway in Park City on Saturday night, September 5. From there the tour will head north for their annual Labor Day weekend, Sunday night appearance atop the Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kansas.

Just one week later on Saturday night, September 12, the tour will head to the makeup date at the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma.

Two dates are slated for the month of October and both will be at the home track of the series, 81 Speedway. The first will be on Sunday night, October 4th and will close out the year on Saturday night, October 24.

Sitting atop the current NCRA modified point standings is Josh Lanterman, holding a 35 point lead over defending tour champion Dan Powers. Tyler Davis, a former tour champion himself, is only 40 points behind the point lead and sits in the third position. Still hitting the road in search of his first series victory is Nebraska veteran Jon Thompson. The pride of Superior currently sits fourth in the standings, 140 points out of the point lead.

With five point races still remaining, there is still a long way to go to see who will be crowned 2015 NCRA modified tour champion and if the past several years is any indication, nothing will be decided until the season comes to an end October 24.

Updated schedules, point standings and more can be found on the official series website www.racencra.com, updated information on the official NCRA facebook page NCRA Racing Series or by calling the series office (316) 755-1781.
