Lawton, Oklahoma – August 17, 2015 - Exciting non-wing sprint car racing action returns to Lawton Speedway this coming Wednesday night, August 19, as the track will host the opening night of the third annual “Freedom Tour” featuring the USAC Southwest sprint car series. The event will be race number one on the four race tour which will see stops at Creek County Speedway in Kellyville, Oklahoma (Thursday night), 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas (Friday night) and will wrap up at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas on Saturday night. Each race pays $2500 to win and $250 just to start the night’s feature finale.

In last year’s inaugural event atop the quarter mile, red-clay oval it was Arizona’s R.J. Johnson holding off a race long battle with Brady Bacon to pick up his first “Freedom Tour” victory with over thirty drivers from six different states pit side.

Among the touring regulars who will make the trip from the Arizona and New Mexico areas including current series point leader R.J. Johnson, Charles Davis, Jr., Matt Rossi, Sihon Deskins, Mike Martin, Mike Bonneau, Chris Bonneau, Tye Mihocko and Dennis Giles.

Non-touring regulars that will be making an appearance include two-time “Freedom Tour” winner Rick Zeihl, Indiana’s Casey Shuman, defending USAC sprint car champion Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, OKC’s Joe Wood, Jr., Fort Worth Texas driver Patrick Stasa, Harli White, Michelle Decker, Koby Barksdale, Oklahoma’s Danny Smith and local Lawton Speedway track regular Kyle Ezell. Over thirty drivers from at least five states are once again expected to compete.

With identical rules to the local ASCS and NCRA contenders minus the wings, a number of local and regional stars are expected to defend “home” turf against the invading forces over the course of the four race mini-series.

Gates will open at 6:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:00 PM start time. Adult general admission price is $15; students ages 12-15 and seniors are just $10; ages 6-11 is $2 and children ages 5 and under will be admitted to the grandstands for free. All pit passes are $30.
