Non-Wing Sprints and Modifieds Highlight Two Nights at Lawton Speedway!

 

Lawton, Oklahoma – August 17, 2015 - Two huge nights of racing action are in store for Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma this week as the track will be hosting the USAC non-wing sprints and Texas Outlaw Modifieds for an action packed evening both nights.

It all kicks off this coming Wednesday night (August 19) as the USAC Southwest non-wing sprint car series will open their third annual “Freedom Tour,” for the second year in a row, kicking off atop the tracks quarter mile red-clay oval. Last year it was Arizona’s R.J. Johnson holding off a race long battle with Brady Bacon to pick up his first “Freedom Tour” victory.

Over thirty drivers from six states are expected to compete for the $2500 to win, $250 to start championship feature finale.

Also running will be the tracks limited modified division. Gates will open at 6:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:00 PM start time. Adult general admission price is $15; students ages 12-15 and seniors are just $10; ages 6-11 is $2 and children ages 5 and under will be admitted to the grandstands for free. All pit passes are $30.  

Then on Saturday night (August 22) the Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) will be making their first and only appearance of the 2015 season with the top drivers throughout Northern Texas and Oklahoma will be competing for $1500 to win and $200 just to start the night’s twenty car championship feature finale. There will be a $100 bonus to the night’s “hard charger” in the feature.

Also competing will be the tracks weekly divisions consisting of champ sprints, limited modifieds and mini stocks. Gates will open at 6:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:00 PM start time. Adult general admission price is $15; students ages 12-15 and seniors are just $10; ages 6-11 is $2 and children ages 5 and under will be admitted to the grandstands for free. All pit passes are $25.
