I am who I am , Robert Altman . Maybe you don't agree with my ideas , opinions, or thoughts but I am probably one of the most passionate fans anywhere and will always be about you the fans , drivers, car owners and all concerned in this great business and sport . Most or all of my critics don't know me and who I am or what I do or stand for . Anyone who actually knows me will tell  you what I've tried or done  over many years around the racing circles  for fans , drivers, promoters ,car owners  and tracks. I have more I would like to accomplish before I leave this earth and hope to get it done . I respect all fans and there opinions but there is so much to know about the inner workings of tracks , sanctioning bodies that most people don't really know about . I can only say that I do whatever  I can for all concerned in racing as only one person , so would hope you the readers of Hoseheads can respect me the way I respect you , Thanks Robert Altman

The entire message board is my witness and you can find me in e top row on the back stretch at the Grove most weeks...i will even drive you from the track to the park office to make sure you don't spend the money on candy cigaretotes instead.

If you are just a huge sprint car fan I would like to see you post something like this just once: " Went to (track name) last night. Rest rooms were run down and dirty, food was bad and over priçed and bleachers uncomfortable but WHO CARES because the racing was GREAT!!!!"

But all you post is what a bad state the sport is in and you have great ideas how to fix it but will not tell anyone cause the tracks/sanctions will not do what you want anyway.

Would you like me to post regularly that I know how you can make a million dollars in 1 year but I'm not going to tell you how? Same thing. It gets old quick!

Exactly. How about for once Mr. Altman, instead of just saying “I know how we can fix this" and leaving it at that, be specific about how you're going to accomplish these things. Instead of saying “we need better engine rules" tell us specifically what you think needs changed about the engines such as cubic inches, compression etc. But you don't and I doubt you ever will because I don't think you know as much as you want everyone to think that you do. You're just a wannabe promoter. You always post very vague ideas as if you want people to think you are in the know but actually, you don't know shit. You come across to me as a someone who thinks you're way more important than what you are. You say you've worked with various promoters so tell us, which promoters did you work with and what ideas of yours have been implemented as a DIRECT result of your work with said promoter(s)? You won't even say what exactly race fans direct is or what the PaPosse fans association was and why it's no longer around. You come across as being full shit and that's not anyone else's fault except for your own because you won't engage in any specific discussion about all these ideas you have. You come on here, bitch and whine about how much you don't like things and then say you know how to make them better then once someone calls you on it, you disappear for a bit then come back later on and post the same old shit you always post. It's like a record on repeat and its getting old. So either prove that you're what you say you are, or take BigRightRears Hershey park offer and go away. You have no one to blame but yourself for how people percieve you.

Dear Mr. Fixxxer , I will give you more definitive  answers if you so desire , no problem. I will start with this an say I would institute a compression ratio to get more longivity out of the motors . Costs are a major problem for our local drivers as this one reason why the teams are picking and choosing there races. I don't proclaim to have all the answers to what could or should be done . I will no longer try to give vague answers , ok . I am not an important person , I just want what all fans want good racing and clean modern facilities. As far Racing Fans Direct , it is organization or you could  call it a business to help fans , by providing tours and other activities like autograph sessions , giveaways , discounts and other to assist fans .The other two names I had were  Pa Posse assoc. and National Sprint Car Fans which I basically re-named because I had conflictions with both of previous names with York Co Rac. Club long ago and previous track mgr at ,Tom Little because of a member only 50/50 . I have nothing to hide and will keep myself clarified and my opinions more detailed in the future . As I said else where I have done nothing but try to help fans and others anyway possible. Also cursing is not necessary to make your points . Thank you

See, I told you.  Every month or so the Goomba comes on here with HIS thoughts.  He is like a broken record, repeating the same thing over and over until someone moves the needle.   Go away for once.....

So what is the compression ratio in the 410 motors now and what would you limit it to? How much will changing the compression ratio in all their motors cost all these struggling local drivers you want to help? Will they all need to buy new motors? Or all new heads? How will you institute a compression ratio rule without costing teams a lot of money to bring their existing motors into compliance? Please be specific like you just told us you would be from now on!!

Please learn to use the word their where it is proper rather than always using there. As in "picking and choosing there (should be their) races"

Hmm - "longivity" and "conflictions" .. "an" "there" are some issues alright.

Great opinions.  Now let me give you mine.  Racing was great Friday night and Saturday night.  The winner came from the pole and led every lap because..............wait for it..............HE'S THE FASTEST F!@#%G MAN ON THE PLANET RIGHT NOW.  Guess where he would have finished if he had started 12th and the race was only 30 laps?    1ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I insist that you (much like the Tea Party) quit telling me what I like and should want in my life.  I enjoyed every bit of the racing with the exception of Donny winning the race.  But, what are you going to do?   I am absolutely positive that all 115 drivers were informed of the format for the Nationals in the drivers meetings.  ???   They knew all about the 50 laps and the fuel stop prior to running their qualifying night.  They were aware of the open red for Saturday night before they unloaded their cars on Wednesday or Thursday.  Where is this big advantage that is given to the 15?   Why did he benefit and no one else did?    No format changes, lap reductions, bigger fuel tanks, World Challenge format changes, Friday night format changes are going to change the outcome.  Do you know what will?  Someone stepping up and figuring out how to beat Schatz!    I will be there when it happens again.  Until then, shut the hell up and let everyone that enjoyed their weekend, alone.

"Anyone but Schatz" will be my cry again next year.  But until then, he deserves it.  There are cars close-no doubt.  But he is still in a little different league.  Quit looking for excuses.

You couldn't have possibly said it any better. When it comes right down to it, Altman is selfish. It seems to me that he's most worried about what HE wants and what HE likes and he apparently has himself convinced that what he's doing (well more like talking about wanting to do instead of actually doing it) is for the greater good. Is sprint car racing perfect? NO! Are the facilities that they race at perfect? NO! Is ANYTHING in life perfect? HELL NO! Instead of looking at what isn't there, I look at what is there. Sprint car racing is still the most exciting sport on earth. Nothing else on dirt or pavement compares. It seems to me that while there are things about it that every one of us doesn't like, most of us still have fun and appreciate the opportunity to watch sprint cars every time we get to attend a race. Some races are good, some aren't. It's always been that way and it always will be. No matter how good the track crew is, you're gonna get a shitty surface once in awhile and no matter what rules you implement, you're gonna have great races and bad races. Such as everything else in life. You can either bitch and whine when things don't the way you want or you can take the good with the bad and enjoy yourself. I choose the latter. I'm going to a couple of races this week. They might be good or they might not but either way, I'm going to enjoy spending time with my friends because as we were so tragically reminded of at Williams Grove last weekend, life can end in the blink of an eye and its way too short to go through it being miserable and looking at everything as a glass half empty. My apologies to Mr.Altman for my cursing. It's how express myself. Just like he expresses himself with terrible grammar and punctuation.

And that is once every 4 to 5 weeks, like I predicted 4 or 5 weeks ago.
