I've had issues with KNIA for the past couple nights. Trying Dirtviosion tonight and it keeps saying will start shortly. Yet, Twitter keeps saying hot laps are underway.... Why can't I listen?

KNIA was great all week until technical issues 4 laps into the A main. Now just commercials while they fix it

They broke the table in their booth and all the equipment hit the floor....hahaha
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

Heard that when they came back on. How much do you think the FCC fine is for using the F word on AM radio?
And what is up with the Looney Tunes ringtone?

I was wondering that...also wonder if it will be one fine or triple the fine for saying it 3 times in 10 seconds

Techincal difficulties. You have to cut him a break. Lots of stress being live. Communicate would have been helpful to make the situation better from the studio . Maybe next year they will buy a better table. Thanks for the broadcast.

Agreed, the streaming app was flawless for me all week and much appreciated. I won't tell the FCC about the slip and I hope nobody else does either.
It was kind of funny, but only because I was sitting at home and not in the same room as the collapsed table

I was listening to KNIA last night and oh, about ten laps in or so, they had a major meltdown. No audio, no announcers, then it came back but sounded like they were broadcasting from a hole then pffftt, nothing, except silence and then the announcer let loose a tirade including at least 3 F-bombs. He did not know he was on the air. I gave up and figured I'd find out who won (like that was in question) reading Hoseheads....

Was listening on KNIA too when their so called technical difficulties happened & the announcer was firing off the four letter words.
Hopefully the F word for the announcer is your FIRED.

The KNIA guys have to move to the top floor of the NSCHoF&M during the Nationals. The room is small and cramped, and hot. They use a shelf mounted to the wall but apparently it fell down with all their stuff on it.

I listened at times to the KNIA radio guys and I was entertained and informed. They seemed to really know about the drivers and added some informed insight. They provided a valued service.

I thought the so called "tirade" was absolutely hilarious! Called my Dad right away and he was laughing just as hard as I was! I'm sure these guys were working their butts off trying to get back on the air but were extremely frustrated with what had happened with the shelf collapsing. An I'm sure they thought they were off the air! My goodness we're all human and subject to an outburst every now and then. If this had happened during the "D" or "E" main it wouldn't have been such a big deal to them but it was the "A" and they wanted to call that race for us! All I can say is keep up the good work KNIA. I listen to you guys every week on the way home from Port Royal and they do a great job, especially the lead announcer! If that little outburst bothered some of you guys, I really feel sorry for you.....

Why would you want the guy fired for accidently dropping an F bomb? Did your ears melt, head explode or are you so deeply offended that life as you knew it would never be the same?
Fucking relax, it is only a word.

I agree. Accidents happen. I'm sure they thought they were off the air. I didn't get to hear it, because I was there Saturday night. I think they do an outstanding job. I listened to them via the mobile app (couldn't get KNIA to load on my laptop) for the 360 Nationals, Capitani Classic, and qualifying nights (though the broadcast did drop a few times and I switched to dirtvision during the 410's and RacinBoys for the 360's,) and also listen to them for most weekly broadcasts.
Give them a break, they were stressed trying to get the broadcast of the biggest race of the year back on the air.
