HOOSIER DT-3 SET FOR IMPLEMENTATION AS CRA SPRINT CAR RIGHT-REAR SEPTEMBER 8
JULY 2, 2007 - Hoosier Tire’s DT-3 tire will become the mandatory right-rear tire for usage in Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car racing beginning September 8 at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
The more durable, less expensive tire has proven effective since its implementation at the start of the 2007 Lucas Oil National Sprint Car campaign. This move has met with approval and is considered a very positive step by Lucas Oil USAC National competitors. The switch to the DT-3 is the latest move toward corralling costs in USAC Sprint Car racing.
The DT-3 therefore will become the mandatory right rear tire for both the “Perris Oval Nationals” at Perris, Calif. and the “Western World Championships” at Phoenix, Ariz. in November, featuring both the USAC/CRA and USAC National participants.
