Let's try this again...
The carnage of all three features notwithstanding, the track ran a tight and efficient show tonight. Like a well oiled machine. Kudos to everyone from track prep, push trucks, safety crew, officials, and the entire staff. Excellent job and effort certainly noticed.
Truly spoiled to enjoy three quality classes of sprints only, 80+ cars, a racy track from top to bottom, and a field of 410's that is top notch.
And to top it all off, McKenna Haase winning her first Knoxville feature And becoming the first woman to do so. Congrats!!!

Prolly gonna b 5 pages of hosers telling us all how happy they were with last nights program. Should b Gd reading. Maybe those people that weren't there for the last race they bitched about can tell us how happy they were to get home early this week even tho they didn't go. Should b plenty of seats available for the rest of us since the "IM NEVER GOING BACK " club grew in membership 2 weeks ago.
Good job Knoxville! I knew it was first night of the yr working the bugs out deal. Everybody stay calm and enjoy the racing.

Super Chuck couldn't agree more. It was obvious that the Knoxville staff was on a mission....and mission accomplished! Efficient is a great word for how they managed getting that show in before the rain. They dealt with numerous yellow and reds, but still were able to get us done 'bout 15 minutes before Mom decided to start sprinkling on us. It was awesome to see everyone lined up and pushing immediately after each race was completed. So thanks to the staff for making it happen.
A few notes:
Terry McCarl once again proved he's either the toughest or craziest SOB out there. Super Chuck thinks it might be a little of both. If he was in pain, it certainly didn't show in the results. Great to see him back out there.
Hated to see RJ Johnson involved in back-to-back crashes the last two weeks. Appreciated his honesty on the mic and hope he can make it back soon.
Chris Dunkin once again worked his magic and gave the boys a very racey track. All three 410 heat races were won from sixth, which shows how early the track came in. Take a bow sir.
McKenna Haase stole the show. She ran a smart race and the crowd LOVED it. Been awhile since there's been a roar like that when a driver took the lead. Great job kid.
Said it last week, but the video board on the front stretch adds a lot to the program. The shots from the work area are really cool, and seeing the on track interviews with TK, RJ and some of the other guys add a lot over just the audio. New sound system, two new video boards...both great improvements.
Overall, what a great show. Only real negative was the amount of torn up race cars, but sometimes you'll have that on a wide and racey track. Can't wait for next week.
Super Chuck

Dirt. I do hope there are a multitude of posts thanking Knoxville for a job well done last night.
I started that last Knoxville thread to express appreciation for the new front stretch video board. It turned into something much different. And while I personally agree with the sentiment of moving the program along and striving for reasonable ending times...what's the old saying about vinegar vs honey. Too many are quick to criticize yet silent regarding something positive or when a job is well done.
As with anything in life there are always opportunities for improvement. But we fans at Knoxville should have far more things to be thankful for than to complain about. My hope is simply that we express appreciation even better than we seem to dole out criticism.

Great news to here. All tracks have little things they can improve on. Without being told by the fans what they would like to see done to make the show better everything will be status quo. Promoters get told all the time what they should do to improve the fan experience. Sounds like Knoxville listened and that's great for the fans. There is always sensitive people who take offense to comments but if it makes things better in the future it's all good for everyone.
