I'm headed to the Grove with my buddy in July for the 2 day outlaw show. I have only been there one time, in 2002 while in town for an r/c car race and happend to catch a outlaws show. Since its been so long, and I didnt get a chance to see or experiance a lot in the area i'm looking for the not to miss stuff around the track. We are staying at the days inn carlisle. I wanted to go to the EMMR museum and see if they still had any of my grandfathers stuff on display. (Gays Biro). Best places to eat? My buddy and I also both collect diecast sprint cars. Any place around the track that sells them? Or dealers at the race track? Any help would be great thanks!

Well the only "not to miss stuff" in pa imo, is the sprint car racing so I cant help you there. I go out of state for other fun. But if your looking for some good eats id stop down in hanover and go to 3 hogs bbq. Bout 45 min from the track and if you like that kind of thing you wont be dissapointed.

Downtown Carlisle has some nice Pubs: Market Cross, Cafe Bruges, North Hanover Grille, Alibis. Molly Pitcher Brewing has a tap room. Higher end is Rillios (although rumors of a quality drop off exist). BYOB Pizza Grille (not a typical pizza place).
Mechcanicsburg (Rt. 11) close to former Silver Spring Speedway location has an Appalachian Brewery.
Hershey has Troeges Brewery.
While in Carlisle check out the Army Heritage Center.

Hershey Chocolate World/Park/Gardens and Gettysburg Battlefield are two good day trips.
