Since nobody seemed to care about the results at Quincy last weekend, here goes. Yes as everyone knows the car count was 11 cars. Those of you who did attend saw one of the best races of the year to date. I don't care who was in the seat, that 25 laps was great. Matt Shelton deserves some press for the show he put on for everybody in attendance. Brad Bumgarner and Johnny Gray where amazing the way they raced each other. All the drivers there need to be commended for the show they put on. Two yellow flags and alot of racing. Thanks to Jim Richardson and All American Speedway for a job well done. The track was fast and raceable all night, you just had to work at it. Hope there are more races next year. Thank you all for attending. racerdad35/KR14 Top four Matt Shelton, Johnny Gray, Brad Bumgarner, Mike Monahan.

A friend of mine was at that race last Saturday. He said even though only 11 cars showed up it was one of the best 410 sprint car races he has seen, he told me the battle for the lead was intense two and three cars wide for nearly all 25 laps that had the crowd standing for the whole race..Seems kind of ironic when we seem to be losing tracks that the 410 teams don't try to give this track more support than just 11 cars for a track and area that is trying to see if there is support both from teams and fans for sprint car racing at that facility, it seems the fans will come but maybe not the teams..

Hey guys, first time since Saturday night I have sat at the computer..Anyways, Quincy was really good. It was an emotional night for Matt Shelton. It was his first ever win in a 410 sprint car. As he told me on the front stretch, he didn't want his first win to be given to him and he had to work for this one. He passed both Johnny Gray and Brad Bumgarner to get the win. The whole race was good. Bumgarner led most of the race in his 360 c.u. Gray raced him clean and forced the issue most every lap but have to give it up to Gray, he could of punted Bumgarner out of the way a few times but gave the fans a show in trying to get by cleanly. Then with five to go out of nowhere charges Shelton and passed them both for the win. Gray passed Bumgarner coming down for the checkered. I got so fired up about the leaders I did not get the official results and hustled down stairs to do the interviews with drivers. By the time I got back to the top everyone was gone. So as far as top ten, I'm not sure. But I can list who was there. It has been a special place this year, the staff are very kind and thankful for the support of the drivers, fans and everyone who helps out.
