Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo) Opens This Saturday Night!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Amarillo, Texas – April 28, 2015 - The 2015 weekly dirt car race season kicks off this coming Saturday night, May 2, at the beautiful Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. It will be the first of eighteen race nights for the three-eighths mile clay oval with a schedule that has a little bit of everything for dirt track fans.
Modifieds, limited modifieds, street stock, pony stocks, cyclones and new to Route 66 Motor Speedway in 2015, limited late models. Also competing on this opening night will be the popular “winged warriors” of the sprint car division.
Pit gates open at 4:30 PM with grandstand gates opening at 6:00 PM. Race time is slated for 7:00 PM. Grandstand tickets are just $12; $8 for seniors age 62 and over while children ages six and under get admitted into the grandstands for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
The three-eighths mile track is located one and a half miles south of I-40 on Lakeside Road. For more race and ticket information call (806) 383-7223.
