so just for grins lets say Ca. vs. Possee  (alphabetical order) just because!

Let's say Tony with all his bazillions promotes a race by invitation only,  Ca. Vs Possee

Center of the states for ease of travel from both dirctions.  (i've posted this before.)

what would be a killer purse to draw lets say 100 cars?  format, entry fee and the like??

would it work and could it be accomplished??

just for grins...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

CA versus Posse wouldn't produce 100 cars

It wouldn't be a huge field, but for the most part, CA car owners have deeper pockets, so their cars are going to be better at a neutral site.

Exactly. Is the original poster suggesting a race in the Midwest, inviting only Pa. & Cal drivers, & banning Midwest locals? Makes no sense...

Maybe it could be a side feature Fri. nite a K-ville Nats....but I doubt it

I can't think of any races in Pa. drawing 50 cars that are only from Pa.

Most locals teams can't afford the travel

Nice idea but I think you're dreaming

Since the Nationals only get about 100 cars nation wide with a million dollar purse I can not see getting 100 cars from just Pa & Cali. But a race with the top ten Pa teams vs the top 10 Cali teams on Friday night at the Nationals would probably be a hell of a race!

You can take all the cars you want from those 2 areas. I'll take 3 from the Dakotas and I bet one of them wins it. wink

Agreed, but I'm not sure 10 Pa. teams even travel to Knoxville

I just counted 12 Pa. cars at K-ville last year, & 3 or 4 of them not considered "Posse"....maybe I should go to bed....

After listening to Tony on the mic at Port...you can tell he wants to own a piece of the action on Posse Soil.

And if the rumors are true, he already has an investment going forward.

Yes he bought a big plot of land here in PA, unfortunatley its for hunting not racing, and its not a rumor its public record. With that said, there are a couple of tracks that are on the market, would love to see him buy Selinsgrove and make it a 3/8's track or Susquehanna and do the improvements it so desperatley needs, would have to be far less expensive then trying to build a brand new track.

I don't know if I'd want to see Selinsgrove shrunk.

It's the only track where I ever found the Super Sportsmen to be fun to watch.
