I believe the question is who.... a quick google brings up Glen Beaton... who is one of his crew guys down under.

Veal is a good driver. He was fast during sprint speed week last year here in Ohio...
So was Derek Hagar

Glen Beaton. One the best crew chiefs in either country.

Was surprised to read yesterday on iBracn that Johnson had gone with Veal instead of a US driver. But the emergence of Veal over the last 12 months has been very impressive. He has very incredibly fast on a variety of tracks, particularly in Australia recently, and hasnt torn up any cars. He is the best young driver out of Australia at the moment (ahead of James Mcfadden on current form) and Glenn Beaton seems to be a driving force behind that. Being an aussie, i am excited to see how he goes and i will now be taking more interest in the WoO.

I was just looking at Veals results & seen he won in the car that Brooke Tatnell drives in Australia, last weekend,so to me it looks like he can win on his own talent even without Glenn Beaton working for him.
