Pre Entries for NCRA Modified Spring Scramble Now Accepted!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – April 2, 2015 - Pre entries are now being accepted for the third annual modified “Spring Scramble” which will kick off the 2015 race season for the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division on Friday and Saturday night, April 17-18, at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas. For the second year in a row, two complete 25 lap features will be run, both paying $2500 to win and $300 to start.
It all kicks off on that Friday night where drivers will draw in for two different sets of heat races. Finishing and passing points will be added together to make up the starting positions in Saturday night’s last chance features and first 25 lap feature finale. The top fourteen in those finishing and passing points will automatically qualify for the first seven rows for the first feature with the balance of the twenty car field being added out of the last chance features.
After the first twenty-five lap feature is complete, the field will be inverted from that finish with the cars that drop out or lapped starting at the tail of the field for the second feature finale. Drivers will be paid on how they finish both 25 lap segments.
The pay is not based on car count and is a guaranteed purse of over $30,000.
Entry fee, if post marked by April 13th, is $100 with entry fee received after April 13th costing $150.
Either NCRA or USRA rules will be allowed and NO mixing and matching of rules as you must choose which rules package you will be competing.
The inaugural modified “Spring Scramble” was held back in 2013 and saw “The Reaper” Ryan Gustin take home the $5000 victory. Last year’s twin $2500 to win format saw Thomas Tillison, Jr. of Wellston, Oklahoma pick up the first of two twin $2500 victories while Gustin won the second portion.
