Outlaw Motor Speedway Opens with Azalea Nationals This Weekend!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Oktaha- Oklahoma – March 17, 2015 - A new era of dirt track racing is set to kick off this coming Thursday – Saturday night as the new-look Outlaw Motor Speedway in Oktaha, Oklahoma kicks off the 2015 race season with the inaugural running of the “Azalea Nationals.”
Purchased over the winter by Jessie Hoskins, owner of Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma and now being operated by veteran official Chris Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a fresh new beginning awaits both fans and drivers as new paint, more clay and many more facility improvements have been made during the winter months.
It all kicks off this Thursday night, March 19, with open practice for three IMCA sanctioned divisions; modified, sport mod and stock car as well as outlaw modified, late model, intermediate sport mod, grand national and pure stocks takes place from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Friday and Saturday night will count towards the 2015 Outlaw Motor Speedway weekly point standings and both nights will pay weekly event payout. This can be found by clicking the track tab on their official website www.outlawmotorspeedway.net. There you can also find official rules for each division as well as the 2015 season schedule.
Gates both Friday and Saturday night open at 4:00 PM with racing slated for an 8:00 PM start time both nights. Adult tickets are just $10; Seniors and Military $8; children ages 6-12 $5 and ages 5 and under admitted free.
Outlaw Motor Speedway is located southwest of Muskogee on US 69 to the Wainwright exit, then 0.1 mile west. More race information can be obtained by calling promoter Chris Smith (918) 625-6200.
