Bill France Jr. would sometimes call 'ol DW and get his take on situations he would encounter with teams on occasion and one day he called :

B-Darrell?

D-Yeah Bill

B- We have uh......a highly noted driver in the series who's car failed a fuel test. It seems he was using an additive that boosted horsepower quite a bit and I was wanting your ideas on what we should do about it.

D- YOU CAN'T LET HIM GET AWAY WITH IT! Shoot if he's cheating then that means he's stealing from everybody else! Ya gotta come down hard Bill! Sets a bad example.

B-Well uhm..... Darrell, the car that failed was your teamates!

D- .................................I ah ah ah guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Hate to hear it but rules are rules.

B-DAMN IT DARRELL! YOUR CAR WAS WORSE!.........................click.

i have heard some say in here that you are not a cheater till you get caught. bull. you are not a fool till you get caught. then you did TWO things wrong.
