When SprintcarPR.com presents the Best Looking Car award at the 54th annual Gold Cup Race of Champions, there will be several possibilities for fans to vote on. Over the next week or so I'll be putting up some possible candidates for Best Looking Car. Remember these are just a few of the candidates you can vote on.
The award for Best Looking Car will include $200 from SprintcarPR.com, $100 from HoservilleCA and a trophy from Duane Davis at Laser Engraving.

Besides making me dizzy, the 36 car reminds me of those little maze things you did as a kid when you started your pencil at one end and tried to get all the way to the finish without hitting a dead end.

I do like the Maxim car and the Doyle's car. I agree with CarWash on the #36 though. Maybe just getting old.
If he comes down from skagit this car is pretty cool:
I like these WOO cars too

I like the Barry Martinez 66 car. Reminds me of the Trop-Arctic WoO car

All of the cars depicted here are nice looking but they all seem to be variations on the same theme. I recall when this type of graphics first began to appear on sprinters. I thought it was eye-catching and pretty cool but now it has become almost commonplace. I'd like to see someone step up, get really creative and break some new ground or perhaps go 'retro', with something that is reminiscent of classic designs from the past, but with a contemporary twist. Of course I realize that there are some limits due to the fact that the wings and body panels are subject to damage and can become 'throw aways' but, in any case, I'll be interested to see what trend will come along to replace the current slashes, splashes and tribal tattoo designs. (Holograms?)

I like the 35 car, think it looks very nice. If I had to vote on the cars pictured above, it would be a tough choice between the 35 and the 00.

Some more possibilities. Remember some of these aren't done justice by just looking at them in photos, you have to see them in person.
Photos by Johns Racing Photos and Davy Thomas
Greg Decaires - Elk Grove, California
Sean Becker - Oroville, California
Kerry Madsen - St. Mary's, New South Wales, Australia (Don't know if they'll bring this car or the patriotic one. Both are slick looking cars though)
Brett Miller- Chico, California
Jim Skinner - Discovery Bay, California
Kyle Larson - Elk Grove, California (Had heard that he might not be able to run because Outlaws mandate that you have to be 16, but am hoping they budge. Kyle has more than proven himself and I can say that he's more qualified than some drivers are that will be there, imo)

I forgot about the DeCaires car. I really like that green. And you right the photos just don't seem to do justice.

That DeCaires car is one hell of a looker, eh? Probably my favorite of the GSC schemes.
And though it's not necessarily "good looking," the red-winged versions of Andy Forsberg's current #92 (only created out of necessity after wing damage from wild rides all year) are pretty fun, probably because that red wing seems to be a good luck charm for him.
