I am only in range of one All-Star race this year.   I don't appreciate his comments but I will still probably attend the race in Wilmot--cause like I said, I am only in range of one race here in my sprint car dead-zone area.

Which brings me to my question--How many fans plan on boycotting the All-Stars because of the comments and payment controversies?  Not trying to stir $hit up, just wanting to know how passionate everyone is about this.  I've heard a lot of drivers and fans alike chime in that they will not be attending.  What percentage of the fan base do these voices represent?

I think that a lot of it depends on "word of mouth", and how much people see through social media. While it's true that only a small percentage of the fan base post on message boards, or use facebook ect. ect.., word of mouth is a bigger factor than many people realize. Once word of his comments and the rival series gaining momentum get out through the grape vine, I believe that things will begin to take a big swing. You can't keep people from talking to their neighbors in the stands, and people are going to wonder why a lot of these bigger named drivers in the Ohio area aren't at a race when they've laid down their hard earned cash to attend.

My estimate is probably only 5% of the common fan bringing his family out to an All Star advertised event even know about the Renegades vs All Stars. Face it the amount of fans on Hoseheads is a very small percentage. I don't think you will have a major reduction in attendance at All Star events. I question how many fans might skip Renegade shows cause they don't about it. Going to be interesting 2015.

I am from Ohio in the heart of this battle and where we will have choices. I will personally not attend anymore All Star races here. I am just sick and tired of the things that Guy Webb has done and I just don't like him after hearing him talk and seeing his comments. Besides the Renegades have booked allot of my favorite tracks to watch 410 winged sprint cars at. Atomic, Wayne County & Millstream.

I have been boycotting the All Satrs for about five years now. I am surprised the uproar has taken this long.

I only attended two All Stars last season because I don't like supporting Guy Webb's series.  Everything that has happened since last June through this Winter will assure that I won't spend $1 to see any All Star shows in 2015.  Hopefully I can attend some Renegade shows.

Staggerman-  You seriously think only 5% of the people know what's going on?  ANY and ALL people I talk to about Sprint Car racing (which is a whole bunch of people)are in the know of this battle/debate.  i don't know of ANYONE that wants to support the All Stars.

I'll answer this honestly. While I don't care at all for what we have seen from the All Stars lately, I'll probably still attend the shows at my regular tracks (Williams Grove & Port) as long as there's a decent field there. If I thought that me not showing up would make a difference, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The problem is, most of the people who attend these races don't know the ins and outs of the deal and the crowds will probably still be what they always were so me staying at home does nothing except make me give up a night of racing. If a boycott is going to accomplish anything, in my opinion, it needs to be the tracks and race teams. Us die hards feel strongly about this stuff but we make up a very small majority of the people who are buying the tickets. Most fans don't know much about it and don't really care that much. If tracks and race teams begin to distance themselves, then that I think will make a difference. This whole thing is just a mess. The ideal outcome would be Webb selling the series to someone who actually knows what they're doing so that the All Stars can get back to where they belong.

The only way I'll ever go to another All Star race is if Bert Emmick and Rick nichols are running it.

Wilmot is my home track.  I feel this way, and I have made comments on here about my displeasure of Guy Webb and his 3 cars.   If I do not go to the show, someone else will.  I feel I am supporting the IRA who co-sanction the night.  I just hate the crap that Guy Webb spewed at me about his guys have jobs and cannot travel 20 hours from New York to attend this show, but somehow meet up in Minnesota or one of the Dakotas for the continuation of the tour.   In truth, these guys run Knoxville and or sowewhere else along the way.   If there are 35 cars at Wilmot, at least 25, 30 are IRA and then you have a few stragglers from possibly MOWA if they are not running, or the Sprint Invaders, oh, and then the hugely supportive THREE cars that the All Stars bring.  I have to support the IRA, but I do not like that I support the All-Stars at the same time. If it was strictly an All-Star race and a couple IRA guys or guys from other groups show up, then I would not feel bad staying away.  Guy Webb is an ass.  Don't attempt to talk to him, you will not get a word in edgewise and he does not answer the questions, he puts his speedtalking spin on everything.  Makes you dizzy trying to process all that nonesensical bullshit he spews.

Pops and I will not be attending any All Star shows.

Originally, the plan was to support the Renegade Sprints and go to as many Renegades races as we could, and then attend All Star races when the Renegades were not running.....My thinking was that some of the drivers would do double duty like Danny Smith......but now that is out of the question...

Look, we have followed some of these racers for 40 years now.....I cannot fathom how someone would have a negative opinion of them and come out and say it publicly....the very racers that have supported the All Stars...even with this current leadership.....

Happy racers make good shows. Good shows make happy fans. Happy fans pay for tickets and make track owners happy.

As far as the casual fan? As I said before, I think most casual fans come at the urging of the fans who are in the know....word will get around....and I think in the long run the Renegades will be just fine, if not better that the previous group.  If done right, it will grow.

If there were to be a sale of the All Stars to a person or group that has experience in the industry, a good reputation and necessary financial backing how many of you would give them a try if for no other reason than to preserve the All Star brand.

I boycott things like buying All Star gear, and have for a few years. The thing about boycotting the events is you're hurting the tracks that book them as well.

but if you don't like the fact that tracks are booking a certain series, what's the difference, they can dig their own grave.  Quit supporting the numbnuts that runs the circus, with him in charge it's only a name and I could care less

They skip that race because Wilmot sucks in more than one way.  Not too hard to figure out.

I wouldn't boycott any series just because of 1 persons words as long as they put on a good show. However, if they don't bring any cars, or just a couple, then they have no show.
