They DQ'd him for rough driving. I thought it was a bad call. He thought he had cleared the car coming out of turn two, his RR made contact with the another cars left front. He brought up the point that on Wednesday he got crashed into when a car jumped the start & ran right into him with no penality. A lot of bad driving has caused crashes, I seemed to me they singled him out because of his last name.

i saw it too and felt the same thing and thought that his last name had something to do with it, but i figured if i said that i would get killed on here.

Isn't the STN an ASCS sanctioned show? If so maybe the fact that the yellow #17 was an innocent victim that got the worst of it had something to do with #94 getting black flagged....hahaha
Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

Even so I think its hard to penalize someone for rough driving. Thats what racing is mostly about. Guys fighting for the same ground on the track and who has the bigger set to leave it to the floor longer entering the corner. Some guys give and some guys dont. Sometimes both make it through the corner okay and other times not but it gives each driver a personality of either intimidating or intimidated. I'm sure there are some exceptions of truely dirty racing but I wasnt there to witness this incident.

To me the term "rough driving" never made sense in open wheel racing. Outside of chopping people, I dont see how you can drive rough, especially with contact, on purpose when you run just as much a risk of landing up on your lid as the guy you hit....

But sounds like Hull and Crawley got in a fight and haven't heard anything about them being DQ'ed. LOL Guess Swindell just needs to drop his gloves in the pits next time.

Yeah. The more things that come out of this the less sense it makes. I still can't wrap my head around that from last night. It's all based on passing points so I guess they better be careful tonight and no one run into one another unless they get out and start a "wrestling match to the fans delight" according to the ascs article. Guess it's just making a mountain out of a molehill

Looked to me like Kevin got screwed on that. Second angle I saw from turn one cam showed him hitting a bump/rut and the car kicked to the right on him and into the other car. Very poor judgement on the officials' behalf IMHO.

Since this is not a points race I assume it isn't ASCS Sanctioned. It doesn't make sense to me. It was Jeff Swindell not Kevin. And all I can figure out about the disqualification is that maybe it was just for that race? They never made that clear. I figured that maybe those other cars were not able to continue the race where Jeff was still able to race.
Now to bring up another incident.... Fri. night an incidence happened that I personally would ban a driver for life - but I'm sure there are many points of view with that one, too.

I didn't see where Jeff raced Sat. so he must have told them to stick it.
