The best engine builder, crew chief and car owner in sprint car racing from the mid 60s to the early 70s is still not in our hall of fame.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Must be someone associated with Fords or he wouldn't be whining about it.

Gomer is probably already in. Elmer Stolfutz's part-time janitor might as well be put in as well.

Another hint.... he dominated an area a lot of people call central PA. Smith, Allen, Weld etc didn't move there for the pot pie.

Honestly it was so long ago and in PA, I doubt 95% of the race fans across the nation would know the name if you mentioned it.

You are exactly right and that is why it is getting just crazy. In another few years guys will be going in that had nothing but a credit card, a cell phone and a chinese box cutter while a truly gifted dominant inovator is ignored.

So, nominate him!! It's not really hard to do you know.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Do it again. You can resubmit every year; it just has to not be the same submission. It took my friends a lot of time and a huge effort to get Edd Sheppard inducted this past year.
The probem (in my opinion) is that the people who vote (or at least a great deal of them) have no feel or appreciation for the older nominees.

IMO, the problem is that there are TOO MANY deserving nominees. Only 12 total get inducted (and only 3 or 4 from pre 1970) every year. And every year more drivers, owners, mechanics, etc. are nominated.
Let's say there are 100 on the list today and 3 get inducted, so the list is now 97, but another 15 get added, now you're up to 112 and again, only 3 will get inducted the following year.
It is getting harder and harder to get enshrined (which IMO isn't a bad thing, that means only the BEST of the BEST of the BEST will get in).
