ALEXANDER, Ark. -- AMP State Series will return to Central Arkansas Speedway and highlight the race card on Saturday night, September 15, 2007 for their last visit of the 2007 race season. It's an honor for our members of the AMP series to return to Central Arkansas Speedway this season. The drivers who have competed on the 1/4th mile oval enjoy the track stated' Series director, Christy Hudson. The Day Motor Sport AMP State Series presented by American Racer, has started up just this season and teams have been able to put on some of the best race action on the 1/4 mile ovals in the State of Arkansas this year. The series has spent many weekends racing new grounds that they have never been on before in a Dirt Late Model, enjoying each other's company and sportsmanship between the members and staff of the series. Central Arkansas Speedway promoter Cindy Clark' stated' that late model's have never raced on the track surfaces prior to the 2007 race season and are welcomed to a return in 2008. Mrs. Clark took over operations earlier this season and has taken Central Arkansas Speedway to higher ground then has ever been witnessed since the track was first constructed. AMP Series and Central Arkansas Speedway look forward to a long and eventful relationship in the future. The AMP State Series will provide a fan friendly atmosphere and great racing for the near ending season event at Central Arkansas Speedway in Plumerville, Arkansas on September 15th 2007.
AMP State Series, has been put together for late model racers in Arkansas to support and race local tracks in and around the state of Arkansas. All late model racers are welcome to join in with AMP State Series for this event. The purse for the event will be paid by Central Arkansas Speedway. The total purse for the event will be $8650.00, with the winner taking home $1,500. Non-qualifiers will receive $37.50. The entry fee AMP members is only $75, non- members’ entry fee will be $120 www.ampseries.com
AMP State Series has made phenomenal growth for the series first season. Making record attendance's & car counts at several tracks this season. AMP Series sharing the highlights with the tracks in Arkansas gain coverage to help local promoters assure success of Dirt Late Model racing. The AMP Series along with the speedways that the new series has visited this season are making headlines in many publications and media networks throughout the Nation. No matter who you talk to, it seems the answers remain the same, AMP Series is striking up interest in the State of Arkansas as they race at the tracks this season.
Team GRT will provide the pole setter award gift certificate for the sum of $100.00 to the lucky racer who wins the start on the pole position for the feature event.
Larry Shaw racing will provide a $100.00 gift certificate award for hard charger. The lucky driver who charges through the field ending his night for advancing the most positions will win the award.
