Just saw where Wib Spalding passed away earlier today. He was a genuinely great person and a darn good racer in his day with some major wins across the country. Later he owned and operated Godfrey Speedway in IL for many years from the 70's til the early 90's and it was at its best under him. Spent many a night there .. some I don't recall too clearly but it was a fun track. RIP Wib
