The second annual “Freedom Tour” featuring the USAC non-wing Southwest sprint cars gets under this coming Wednesday night, August 13, at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma. From there the second of four consecutive nights will see stops at Creek County Speedway in Kellyville (Thursday), 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas (Friday) and will wrap up on Saturday night at Dodge City Raceway Park. Each event pays $2500 to win with starting the feature each night pays $250.

Below are drivers I have been informed who will be making at least one appearance while several others will be running the whole tour. With identical rules to the local ASCS and NCRA contenders minus the wings, a number of local and regional stars are expected to defend “home” turf against the invading forces over the course of the four race mini-series.

Charles Davis, Jr., R.J. Johnson, Mike Martin, Josh Pelkey, Rick Ziehl, Colby Copland, Shon Deskins, Josh Hodges, Michael Curtis, Chris Bonnuea, Mike Bonnuea, Ty Mihocko.

Casey Shuman will be driving the John James owned sprinter the first two races and pending the weather in Indiana may do the full tour.

Michelle Decker will run Lawton and Dodge City while Shannon McQueen will take over her car for Creek and 81 Speedway.

Dustin Morgan will run the whole tour while Blake Hahn will run the first two shows.

Zach Chappell is rumored to be in the Hawkins sprinter while Robert and Shane Sellers will for sure be at Lawton.

Former NCRA champion Jeremy Campbell will be at 81 Speedway and possibly Dodge City Raceway Park.

Other drivers expected and not limited to are; Wyatt Burks, Harli White, Koby Barksdale, Joe Wood, Jr., Kevin Risley, Danny Smith
