I'm looking for old race tracks (not all have to be old if they're currrently not racing at them that'll work too). As long as they still resemble a track they'll work. I'll post all the photos that I get of these on here for all to enjoy. I have already visited Tulsa Speedway and plan on going to Salina and Outlaw as soon as I can.

Thackerville speedway has a sign at around the 7 mile(south bound I-35-near Texas border) marker announcing it is for sale. I need to get shots of it. If you beat me to it, that's fine.

Post it in the "Tidbits From the Past" section as that is also what that is for. To keep the vision alive of the tracks that are now no more.

I've posted this same thread on 2 other message boards and I have gotten a huge list of tracks to go check out. I never imagined there were that many closed down tracks in this area. I really appreciate all the help and I will make sure to post photos on ever site that I can find that would like them. I don't know when I'll be able to get out to them all since I have 2 small children but I'm going to go to as many as I can before this winter. I've already been out to Tulsa and gotten a lot of information on the track. I'll probably have those photos developed today. I'm currently in the process of getting photos of the old Cimarron track. I just spoke to Vicki the lady who started the track and got lots of information from her last night. She's going to dig up any photos that she has of the 7 weeks that it actually ran and we're going to try to talk the current land owners into letting me get some current photos of the tracks condition. I drove past it yesterday and the light poles, tractor tires, speakers and orange press box are still there. No trespassing signs were too, so no pictures yet.
