Naylors seaside racing emporium put on a perfect show last night. Perfect weather, racing, crowd et al. Under my aphorism "the perfect is the enemy of the good", the "nattering nabobs of negativity" have reason to compare succeeding shows, and how dreadfully boring these Dwarf Cars and whatnot classes are, how awful the track prep and on and on.

The Kiwi, Pickens led until a flat put him off, Jake Swanson in the Moose Car, like he was shot out of a cannon, went to the front and took the win. Must say I have seen a number of W/C USAC shows this year, and each time they have been the best part of the card.

A lot of these shoes should be at Tulare next Sat. along with KoW 410 wingers.

Nice to see postive posts (On Ventura)

The week before (ARP Classic) was pretty damn good too, with monster slide jobs, and a pass for the lead on the last corner.  T:he comotion at the beach is back  !  (Jim just needs to update his equipment, heard his tractor broke but thankfully the track prep done provided a great surface and racing.)

I was impressed with Pickens, first time I got to see him and he lived up to his hype.

I wonder why Kruseman didn't race?  I thought Naylor said he was in the booth.

Rutherford looked pretty good for his first outing in a brand new car, I guess he split with Biggie, and I think his yellow car was pretty damn old?  Anyway, I think Troy said he has to skip Tulare because of a prior comminttment (his daughter)  Smile  But hopefully we will see Troy more often at VRA.

And how about the Moose Mobile and Jake swanson with their win, I think it was their maiden adventure into 360's against such a stout field, good things coming to that team, they can really build around Jake, and with proper funding can compete with the likes of the established teams ie Chaffin, Alexander, Ford, etc

Hopefully we will see Bud, Netto, VanDeerWeirs (never can spell it correctly), Roa, Carlise at Tulare  Gonna be a special race, did u guys hear about their KWS trophy dash, something very interesting with 7 one of one 2 lap dashes to determine the starting line up.  Gonna be a warm one (especially compared to Ventura) but planning on making the trip up north.

Pole dash - More common elsewhere. Really cool deal.
