I-80 Speedway Partners up with The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum

For the second year in a row The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will partner up with I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska for the Casey's General Stores Midwest Fall Brawl III on September 19th & 20th. This years Casey's General Stores Midwest Fall Brawl III at I-80 Speedway is going to be bigger than the previous two years this event has been held as this years event will be an ASCS National event. Last year I-80 Speedway held the Homepride Midwest Fall Brawl II an ASCS Midwest show which featured the first "Double Down Back to Back Challenge" which payed a bonus of $20,000 if the same driver could win the A-feature both nights. Jack Dover accomplished this feat and with the bonus, lap money and purse, he pocketed over $27,000. This years Casey's General Stores Midwest Fall Brawl III will boast a whopping, "Double Down Back to Back" bonus of $50,000 sponsored by Durst Motorplex & Hotrod Paintless Dent Repair. We also have some great contingency sponsors, Searsboro Telephone will be the Hardcharger Award sponsor of $1000 each night, Electrical Systems, Inc will be the "Podium Draw" sponsor of $300 each night. We are also in the process of putting together "Lap Money" for each night.

I-80 Speedway sold a Two Day Saver Pass through the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum last year and in return, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum received $5 for each two day pass sold. This program worked so well that I-80 Speedway is pleased to announce the same Two Day Saver Pass program again this year in which the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will again receive $5 for every two day pass sold. Two Day Saver Pass's are on sale now at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum for $35 each, indidual day tickets are as follows: Friday, Sept 19th tickets are $20ea and Saturday, Sept 20th tickets are $25ea. Therefore, $35 for a two day pass is a great deal and to give back $5 of each two day ticket sold to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum is an honor for I-80 Speedway to continue the history and future of Sprint Car racing. To order your tickets, please stop by The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum or call 1-800-874-4488 to purchase your two day pass.

In the event of weather/cancellation:

* two day cancelation will be refunded in full minus $5 donation to hall of fame

* one day completed show will be charged at regular gate price, not at reduced price for two day purchase

* $5 donation for hall of fame will not be returned under any circumstance

I-80 Speedway has blocked off (20) rooms at the Courtyard Marriott, 12560 Westport Parkway, La Vista, Ne 68128 for $89 per night (you must stay both nights 9/19 & 9/20 for this rate). This hotel is exactly 22 miles East of I-80 Speedway just off of exit 442 on Interstate 80, there is room from truck and trailer parking. I would highly advise NOT to stay in Lincoln on this particular weekend as the Nebraska Cornhuskers are playing the Miami Hurricanes and traffic is going to be absolutely chaotic in the Lincoln area. To reserve these rooms at the $89 rate, call Courtyard Marriott at 402-339-4900 and use code: I-80 Speedway. Please spread this around to anyone you think might need a reasonable place to stay. This hotel is VERY nice!!!

MAKING RESERVATIONS
A dedicated website is now available for your attendees to book their hotel rooms online. Reservations can be made at this web address:

Booking Website:
https://resweb.passkey.com/Resweb.do?mode=welcome_ei_new&eventID=11642265&utm_source=11252556&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=35062800

If your attendees prefer to book their rooms via phone please have them call 402.339.4900 and ask for the I-80 Speedway rate. Your group code is SPEC.

Your reservation due date is 05-SEPT-2014, as stated in your contract Guests will need to reserve their rooms by this date to guarantee your special rate.

There was some issue with the link and all should be resolved to reserve rooms for the Casey's General Stores Midwest Fall Brawl III. See below and this should help resolve all the issues.

We looked into this today and I would like to discuss your questions:

  1. 1.       You were unable to create more than one reservation at a time—this is a default in the Passkey system. It does this so we don’t have people making a bunch of reservations, holding them and locking up availability for the rest of your team, and cancelling them last minute. We have adjusted this so your attendees can make up to three at a time.

  1. 2.       The rate is not reflecting the $89—it is showing $109. The reason why this is happening is when you are making the reservation and select more occupants, ex. 4 people, then it will default to the rate for four adults in the room as stated in your contract:

  1. a.

  1. 3.       We are looking into why your attendees are having difficulty with our reservations people—if they call in are they saying the group code is “SPEC”? Are they getting transferred when they call 402.339.4900?
    1. a.       If they continue to have difficulty on the phone it may just be easier for everyone to use https://resweb.passkey.com/go/80Speedway With the changes mentioned above, I hope this will be easier for your team.

We are up to $4350 in lap money with 47 of the 55 laps sold for the two night show. Our goal is to get $5000 in lap money which now I think is VERY reachable. If you, the company you work for, or anyone that you know would be interested in participating in this great event, please get a hold of me so we can get them signed up. I am asking for $100 per lap but will take $50 if people don’t mind being piggy backed with another $50 lap sponsor. I would like to have this all wrapped up before the end of July so that we can advertise $5000 or more in lap money so any help you all can do would be GREATLY appreciated.

Since we are going to end up with $100 per lap, we are going to divide it up  by the following:

Lap leader $50 per lap

2nd Place  $30 per lap

3rd  Place  $20 per lap

Well well well...... Big party after the races on the back stretch on Friday September 19th. We will be having a two man accoustic gig by the name of Dallas Hendrix. Go to youtube and listen to some of his music....awesome awesome awesome. Dallas will just be coming back from doing a few gigs down in Louisiana so we are excited to have him come play at the after race party. Bring you own coolers back there and kick back enjoy some tunes or get up a dance a little. Beware though...last time we had them at I-80 Speedway back in July, they played until 4:15 in the morning. Hope to see you all at the after race party on the back stretch.
