Dave Blaney is going to be running a schedule similar to Stevie Smith's the next two weeks.

Looking forward to seeing Danny and Stevie this weekend at Eldora and Waynesfield.  Good luck to both and safe travels to Ohio.

"Dietrich hasn't competed at any of the race tracks on the Ohio slate, but we have him penciled in for at least one win before his return to the Keystone State."

Interesting.

I give DD a good chance at some top tens, but a very slim chance at winning. Hope he runs well though and appreciate his support of speedweek.

Winning an OH speedweek race is no easy task even for those drivers that have experience on the OH tracks. I think it would be a major upset if DD was able to do it in his first visit. Realistically I'd say he will be fighting to make the A main most nights, although I think a top 10 isn't out of the question. He is good but he's very hit or miss when taking to a new track and everyone knows Eldora is a different animal.

Sounds like the Posse is cherrypicking again.

Wish Stevie Smith, 2009 and 2012 Ohio Speedweek champion, was running the 51 instead of being handicapped in the cursed buckeye 83 shtbox, but oh well.

Dietrich can easily win in Ohio. It's just the All Stars. The only real threat is whether or not they get paid.

I'm not saying it will be easy, and I think to say it will be indicates Pa Posse chest pumping more than reality. I based my prediction of him winning a show on the size of some of the tracks -- some resemble Lincoln -- and that he seems to have worked his motor issues out for time trials.

Still, it will be very difficult.

He's got a shot at waynesfield and Sharon. Attica, Eldora and Fremont will be tough as the all stars and ohio guys have a lot more laps there. Also Shane Stewart will be tough.

LOL. Didn't seem that way when I and apparently others read your article.

Instead of listening to a newspaper writer, why don't we listen to Danny:

"There's a bunch of good racers out in Ohio. We don't look to go out and kick their butt. We just want to be respectable."

I'm glad he's making the trip, but he's going to be at the same disadvantage the All Stars have when they come to WG, port, etc.  Wish more of the Central PA guys would come over for OH Speedweek, and Ohio guys in turn support PA Speedweek the following week.  If the bulk of the contenders from both areas ran both weeks, what a fantastic 2 weeks of racing that would be...

It's just the All Stars....LOL.  Yeah, it's only Dale Blaney, who head-to-head will beat any of the Posse 9 out of 10 times on a nuetral track, a former Knoxville Nationals winner (Shaffer), a former multi-time All Star champion with many years experience running the WoO (Kemenah), a fomer WoO/NARC/GSC racer with tons of experience (Hannigan), outsiders like Shane Stewart, etc. - Dietrich won't make the A most nights.

Someone said he has a shot at Waynesfield - Lance DeWease ran the Speedweek race there several years ago.  Didn't do so well.

Stevie Smith did win at Waynesfield (his 200th).  He has the experience to win out here.

The chest-thumping has started already for the Posse crowd.

Disadvantages, Posse vs. All Stars. I just think Dietrich has a shot at getting a win and figured I would fire in and predict one.

No reason to bust his balls for making a prediction like that.  Although I think a top 3 would be a lofty goal, who remembers a green youngster named Kevin Gobrecht coming over to Attica and taking the money? (I hadn't even heard of him until the dash that night.) Also remember Stenhouse winning all those races one year and he probably hadn't seen a few of those tracks.  It will be fun to see if anyone dominates or if there are some surprise winners.

Why does everybody generalize "posse crowd". There's plenty of posse fans who will tell you dd will have some trouble.  But if everything is clicking for him, DD is tough to beat.  Do I think hell beat the "All Stars?"  No but a top 5 is definitely a possibility, and I just hope he does well, and gets respected by "Ohio Fans" and "Ohio Chest Thumpers". Also hope he does well smart Eldora so he makes the trip back in 3 weeks for he Kings Royal

Absolutely hell yes!

As to the arguments about who's gonna win, let me repeat the cliche "Thats why they have to run the race"

Wish I could make it, was planning on Pa. Speedweek, but I  gotta take 91 yr. old Mom in for an operation, might catch a couple of races if she does OK....

Nobody is going to disrespect Danny Dietrich, Stevie Smith, or any other driver that comes west starting Friday. As I stated in an earlier post on this thread, I'm happy they are coming.

Then, as usual, someone jumps in and starts the sh*t talking and bashing.  It just gets old.

Never met Danny, but Stevie Smith is as classy as they come.  He was so nice to me when I met him a few years ago when he came out.  First class, and one of my favorite drivers. They will be most-welcome out here, as will any fans who drive out.

Don't worry Posse is always welcome in Ohio. Everyone at all of these tracks will welcome DD, Stevie and any outsiders with open arms. We just want to see great racing each night and clear weather. I think it gets frustrating sometimes when we always here things like in a post earlier that said "he can easily win in Ohio and that its just the All Stars." Kind of makes it look like the Ohio local boys aren't anything. I won't deny that DD can win in Ohio, heck he can probably win anywhere but it certainly will not be "easy." Give our local guys like Craig Mintz, Chris Andrews, Dean Jacobs, Lee Jacobs, Travis Philo, Greg Wilson some credit. Everyone is tough on their own turf whether it be Posse, Ohio, Knoxville, or Cali. Nothing is easy especially when they go to Attica, Fremont, and Wayne County. Eldora I am going to give to Blaney or Haud, no denying they are the favorites. Attica and Fremont, Mintz and Blaney are the favoirtes, WCS Lee Jacobs.
