The Velocity Motorsports black and orange number 7 sprinter will head to Santa Maria for the USAC show with heads held high. After having a stellar performance last weekend. The team rolled out for qualifying nervous. But had nothing to worry about with a quick time of 13.046. Myles Bishop was the only car in the 13.0's. With Myles having some trouble in the heat race and finishing 6th the team would have to start 13th in the main. When the green flag waved over the field the VMS number 7 took off for the front. By lap 15th Myles would be sitting in 5th. For the last 15 laps he would battle with Ms Hamblin. With five to go Myles would loose 5th to Ms Hamblin and finish 6th. But it was not a bad night for the VMS team.
