Just a reminder that the USMTS modifieds will be making a long awaited return to the Steele County Fair Thursday night August 16th. Joining the USMTS in their second od three appearances at the Steele County Speedway will be the Wissota Midwest Modifieds and the Steele County Streeters.. The green flag drops at 8pm so come early and enjoy the fair and all of it's food!!

Are the IMCA Sprints included in the program next Thursday or was I wrong in my assumption that they'd be there?
Also, is there a motel in town that is working with Steele County Speedway this season? I took Friday off work and am thinking about spending the night and going to Jackson on Friday.

Stan,,,, The next time that sprint cars will be at Owatonna is at the ASCS season finale.. The IMCA sprints were originally scheduled to run at the Labor Day USMTS show but we have been forced to drop that class for the night because most of the IMCA sprinters will be in Boone, IA for the IMCA Super Nationals that weekend,,,
As far as rooms go,,, We have been refering people to the Americinn in Owatonna this year since the Owatonna Grand closed.. Unfortunately,, with the Fair in town for this next show, motel rooms are at a premium in Owatonna....

Thanks Brian. That's too bad that all the rooms are full but I'll see if I can find something online. I guess if I had to drive home after the Owatonna race I could put the money I would have spent on a room towards another tank of gas.

Thats really to bad that your dropping us, we were all looking forward to racing four days in a row and stopping in Owatonna to race monday night, We all love the track and the facility I promise I wont hit the light pole again. I really wish you would reconsider having us monday night.

Brett,,,,, we love having you guys and we would like to add you to a bunch more of our shows for next year,,, but as far as the Labor Day deal goes it is out of our hands as that is what Bob told Johnny because of the Super Nationals on the same weekend,,

PS,,,, we're thinking about building a "sand trap" like they have on the interstates for truck "run off " lanes in front of THAT pole before your there the next time,,,,, "JUST" in case you think that you might want to "adjust" the lighting again for us!!! LOL!!!!

Just a reminder that we will be running all three classes this Thursday for the fair,, USMTS Mods, Wissota Midwest Mods and Steele County Streets...... Weather forcast looks to be fantastic at this point for Thursday nights show,, (Unlike 3 out of 5 of our previous shows!!!! LOL).....
